It went from Tim not wanting to work with him, to openly making fun of him in public. Really silly.

No problem at all with Tim saying no, but there were future opportunities there with the shiek. He displayed his immaturity and decision making skills in publically laughing at the shiek. Just dumb. And now that he got stomped badly, he just looks really silly.

And yeah, Tim himself would tell you it would have been far better to get whipped for another ten million. The whole thing is embarrassing for him.

Props to both guys and Tszyu for taking a tough fight straight away after a tough lost
So you praise Murt and Tszyu for taking a “tough” fight, right after you refer to Fundora as a “bum”…the same Fundora who BEAT Tim in one of the bloodiest/gutsiest fights in the last few years. You kids crack me up.

This isn't to throw shade at Tim Tszyu's opposition as he fought ranked fighters like Gausha, Ocampo and Mendoza, and a former champion in Tony Harrison who was in the downslide but still quite formidable. He also could had won against Fundora if it weren't for the cut.

But prior to Barrera fighting Junior Jones, I do think Marco achieved a tad more than Tszyu revisioning his career.

At super flyweight, although Barrera never became a champ there despite being his first division, he beat Carlos Gabriel Salazar (35-4-1) from Argentina, who was two division champion with a record of 35-4-1, Barrera had turned 20 years old for three months.

Then Barrera beat Puerto Rico's two division champion Daniel Jimenez (19-3-1) who was coming off a win over well touted and underrated fighter in Duke McKenzie (33-3), a three-weight (112, 118, and 122) world champion from England who had beat the likes of Rolando Bohol (24-2-2), and Cesar Soto (25-4-2). After losing to Barrera, Jimenez would then climb down to 118 to win a WBO shot against Alfred Kotey despite debuting at super bantamweight.

Then Barrera would beat the IBF champion Frankie Toledo (24-2-1), who had retired Orlando Canizales, while defeating future world champions Clarence "Bones" Adams and Hector Acero Sanchez.

After that Barrera beat Agapito "El Ciclon" Sanchez (17-4-2) from the Dominican Republic, a fighter known for his dirty tactics which even troubled Pacquiao onto a round 6 technical draw from a cut above the eye due to a headbutt. He was nicknamed "Dirty" Sanchez who went to become a WBO Super Bantamweight champion after his loss to barrera, beating the likes of Javier Jauregui and Oscar Larios at their primes, two well touted fighters from Mexico that were trained under Chepo Reynoso, Jauregui knocking out Jose Luis Castillo in two bouts and Larios beating Cesar Soto, Nedal Hussien, Israel Vazquez, Wayne McCullough X2, and Takahiro Ao. Larios also gave Pacquiao a good bout at 130.

Lastly Barrera prior to losing to Jones, had beaten Kennedy Mickinney (28-1), a golden Olympic medalist at Bantamweight and Super Bantamweight world champion that went to beat Junior Jones via TKO.

5 solid champions in their prime is pretty good in that short of a run.

He could possibly consider moving up to the baron land that is 160lbs but he has absolutely no future remaining at 154lbs.

What was the difference in purses to who Turki wanted him to fight and what he earned last night? Oh and by the way, no man on earth should be expected to be submissive to another man. Tszyu responded to a man who disrespected him. How should he have responded? Tszyu is a man, just like Turki. Problem is Turki thinks he is more than that and Tszyu reminded him he squats for a dump like anyone else

            • A friend of mine who only recently got into boxing is a fan of Tszyu but he had forgotten this fight aired last night. I asked him if he saw the Tszyu fight, and his response was "No, how did he do?"

For the first time in my life I was able to just say, "Oh, go watch it dude. It gets vicious." He has no idea what he's in store for. Haha.

Turki said "I won't work with Tim Tszyu. Let him go his own way, he doesn't understand."

That is a far cry from insulting the guy. And as far as being submissive, I guess then Tim is submissive to PBC for less money? That argument doesn't make sense in terms of business. I know Tim would have made millions more on a Saudi card. I think it was more he didn't feel ready for Bud, rather than "being his own man".

Now that fight is gone. Tim made fun of the dude who offered him the biggest fight he could make for millions more than he had ever seen, for what reason I don't know.

But no one should really think for a second that Tim turned down Turki and Crawford out of "being his own man". Bud would have stopped him, Tim's style is taylor made for Bud. Last night showed that Tim has no plan other than hit the other guy harder. Bud would have eaten him up.

Not sure why you are so fixated on "Turki is trying to own people". So are the other promoters trying to own people for less money?

                    • Early on, I thought Tszyu was living off his old man's name. He then scored some good wins and looked possibly like the real deal. These last two losses have exposed his weaknesses. I just can't see how he can become a force in boxing. His defense is terrible and he has lost some punch resistance. They will probably try and build him back up with a couple of soft touches, but what top guys can he beat at this point?
