Comments Thread For: Sebastian Fundora will be watching Tim Tszyu very closely this weekend

There's an assumption that Sebastian Fundora is fixated on the idea that he'll fight former three-belt welterweight champion Errol Spence Jnr next, but that's not true.

Fundora is a face fighter with sky sc****r reach. He can get off 2 or 3 shots before his face gets there.

What a loaded division? Filled with a lot of good potential matchups.

First, Tim Tszyu is a lock to beat Bakhram Murtazaliev for the IBF belt. Next, the PBC will likely have both Fundora and Tim fight at least one, maybe two names for competitive yet predicable wins. Assuming they continue to make weight and win, they'll face off very late 2025 or more likely 2026 when Tim knocks Fundora down and eventually out. Fundora is tall but he's not all that, and not difficult to figure out. Fundora gives up his height, he likes to fight inside, he can be countered and his chin is suspect. None of this is rocket science, out of the top 10 at 154lbs, Bakhram Murtazaliev is the weakest followed closely by Sabastian Fundora.

As for the top 154lbers (Other Side of the Street) not signed with the PBC ...Crawford will be in his 40s and retired. Madrimov or possibly Vigil Ortiz will be the last men standing for the WBA belt. The only belt in question is the WBO belt until Al Haymon convinces the the WBO to rank Errol in the top 10 but not to worry, it's boxing where everything has a price.

The potential match-ups aren't going to happen because the PBC needs the belts in-house in order to sell PPVs on Amazon. Al Hayman can't risk losing belts to Madrimov, Vigil Ortiz or Bohachuk on ESPN, DAZN or any other network, he needs the belts to sell PPVs.
