Unless you're hard up for cash, don't do it Deontay. This is only a step backwards and a loss at BW will be the end of his chapter. Take an easy fight at HW and call it a career.

In an era when us fans are sick and disgusted over the zillion weight divisions and dozens and dozens of champions what do these bozos go and do? Let's just add yet another division and another titlist because somehow this equates to more $$$ somehow. It's ridiculous. I wish all of these fighters, managers, promoters, and most of all the fans would put their foot down and boycott anything to do with this kind of bull****. I wish the fighters, in unison, would all refuse to pay the 3% sanctioning fee across the board forcing these yahoos to merge and make one champion so we can do away with this idiotic notion of "co-best". Imagine having four different world series champions or four super bowl champions. It's all so absurd.

The problem is that Wilder just doesn’t seem to have the mindset he did when he was knocking people out left and right. He started using psychedelics and his whole outlook changed. Let’s be honest. Wilder is for the most part a one dimensional fighter. His raw power meant he was pushing bigger guys back because they knew and felt that a knockout punch was coming. But he just doesn’t have that killer instinct anymore. We can hype this up and I would tune in. But deep down it feels like it’ll just be smoke and mirrors. I think we’ve seen the best of Wilder. Do I want to be wrong? Heck yeah.

Wilder is used to fighting slower guys. It could be a mistake to fight somebody quicker. I've never seen Lerena fight, though.

I wouldn't want to say wilder was exposed, as he nearly had fury out in 1st and 3rd fights. But unless he becomes a Willie pep or floyd and Pernell he is finished at top level.
But he's entitled to make money and retire when he wants, but must be realistic about what he wants!
Maybe a Josh fight stillLast edited by hugh grant; 10-16-2024, 07:13 PM.

He should retire from contact sports altogether, that way he can enjoy his money, family, and health, he's earned it!Boricua181 likes this.
