If Bivol doesn’t get the win then there’s really no such thing as the Sport of Boxing .

I thought Bivol might've nicked it. The draw was a very reasonable possibility. I was surprised when Beterbiev got the decision though and I've no idea how one judge gave him 8 rounds.

Great fight to watch though. Hope they do it again.

        Lovely fight.

Bivol tried to punch with Beterbiev which I didn't think he would, & worked hard at times to prevent Artur from cutting off the ring.

Beterbiev set some traps, showed his usual brutal elite precision & even showed some good agility during the middle rounds.

Elite fighters showing the kids how it should be done, shades of GGG - Canelo II.

Class shown by both afterwards, too.

        Rematch NOW!

Beterbiev took the last 3 rounds on the Great Nash's scorecard to take it 115-113. Nash out - His Excellency

I had it a draw. But what a fight ... fights like that should not even be scored and declare both winners

I LOVED this fight. Beterbiev was in with by far the best boxer of his life and Bivol was FAR less likely to engage than he ever has been!

Bivol fought so well. He had lulls. Beterbiev should have let his hands go well and fair play to Bivol for that because his defense is legendary. Beterbiev owned him in the later rounds. If that was a 15 round fight, no judges would have mattered.

Ultimately, the judging criteria for fights are quite clear and ring generaliship and effective aggression have to go to Beterbiev. The former because 3/4 of the fight belonged to his legs. The latter because nothing Bivol hit him with was effective. I am being as unbiased as I could be in this and that should explain the reason for the judges decisions

Amazing fight, great win for Artur! I also had 116-112, even tho Bivol had a remarquable defence.
Beterbiev was the one controling the ring, the most aggressive and the attacker. I agree Bivol did well in counter... but he was shy between rd 10-12 and didn't seemed in control at all.. There's no way you win looking exhausted like that.

I think the location of the fight and religious affiliation had a significant influence on a few close rounds. Turki calls Beterbiev "brother" so that in itself would change the outcome in a close fight.

Good fight. Bivol fought well at times, but you can’t win a fight by running. Several rounds he was on his bike way too much. Would watch a rematch, but don’t need one. Beterbiev looked stronger and can’t see any other outcome unless he ages too much.

Nope Lol bivol lost by cozing the last 3 rounds. He shouldn't have done that since it was such a close fight.
