Nobody has been good enough to take him out of his main gear yet, and he's got a pretty high work rate in that gear...
He doesn’t mess the finish up by rushing things
Biv could have the better chin, but Bet has the better recovery from what I seen
Yarde would hurt Bet. Bet would remain cool box on the back foot and spring a trap counter for Yarde

To be fair, we don't know much about Bivol's recovery because he's never been dropped. And he's younger. So there's not much evidence in support of that assertion.
Buckled against Joe Smith in the 11th? Rallied hard in the 12th round to almost stop Smith.
Potentially buckled by an overhand right in the first round against Salamov (he may have just lost his footing). No ill effects, won every round.
I have to rewatch it, but I think Sullivan Barrera got his attention in toward the last part of the fight even though he was losing most rounds. Bivol rallied in the 12th to stop him.
We seen him separate gears against a Canelo - hat tip to Tood Grisham with one of his better calls on the "look at Dmitry Bivol go!!!" sequence. But that was Canelo who is often taking rests in various stages of a fight.
Both of these guys are very freaky in their own way - as much of an athletic freak i think Bivol is, one sledgehammer and all that can get mitigated.

Biv’s legs jolted
Biv clinched immediately to stuff a follow up
I don’t think neither are iron chin based on what I seen
But Biv knowing how to clinch when hurt makes him that much harder to stop
The infamous Smith overhand at the end bell of the 10th round is the punch everyone talks about
that shot also jolted Biv’s legs. Biv spent the first minute to 1:30 minutes of the next round the 11th collecting himself. Plus the minute in the corner before the round [where he listened to his trainer’s instructions take it easy and be careful]Last edited by SouthpawRight; 10-11-2024, 12:56 AM.SceneBoxer likes this.

"Woo. I just think Beterbiev’s gonna do well. I’m a big fan of his. I’m being biased, it’s not fair to ask me that question.”
Quote not mine ....

yeah, i think Beterbiev gonna try to blitz Bivol before Dmitry gets too comefortable..if Bivol can neutralize the attack and land some hard counters hes gonna go all out and make a statement. The question is can he maintain his composure cause we know Beterbiev is coming in hot

Only problem with your statement is this is Beterbiev territory ...
