I used a x5 multiplier on a late Beterbiev KO in the PICK EM' thread because goddamn... What are the chances he's ever the underdog?!
Saying that, I think Bivol hands him his first loss with a close decision. But Artur has a 99.8% chance of proving me (and anyone else backing Bivol) wrong. 51/49 sort of thing.
“Beterbiev will come to you with that jab, he will go to the body, he will continue to apply pressure and if he can get to that body he will be where he wants to be to win. That moment will come when he knocks at the door. But Bivol will answer that door. He will not allow that door to be broken down like it has by 20 other people. At the end of the day the best man will win, not the best man technically, but the man that can put up the with the mental part. I’m taking Bivol to win a decision.”
"Beterbiev is a good puncher, but I don't know if he takes a good punch because he's been down three or four times in nearly twenty fights. If you've been down that much in twenty fights, there's a problem there.
"I really think Bivol has the advantage and I'll go with him."
“I just think he's got that style that he's not gonna allow Beterbiev to get in. I don't know. I just think Bivol will push it up and earn a decision win.”
“If I had to pick one, I’d pick Bivol because of his boxing skills, his movement, and just his will to keep a fighter at a distance that he needs. I think that’s one thing that is going to carry him to victory. Beterbiev is strong and is going to be coming to fight, but I think Bivol’s jab is going to stop all that forcefully from coming straight forward into the fight,”
