Bivol seems stressed…I’m picking Beterbiev!

In a fight like this with all other things being equal, I’d normally pick the younger, fresher fighter who’s NOT coming off an injury i.e. Bivol.

However, I’ve noticed during fight week there’s a visible tension and repressed anger in Bivol’s face which didn’t exist before if you watch his old interviews. I think all the sht he’s going through with his divorce and wife’s public outbursts calling him a wife beater, cheater and lousy father are finally getting the better of him.

In comparison, Beterbiev seems SERENE and unperturbed by the occasion and I think this will give him a mental edge during the fight. I might be wrong, but in a battle of 2 undefeated champions in an undisputed clash, usually the calmer more mentally sound fighter pulls through in the end e.g. Crawford + Usyk.

Seriously though, I don’t believe any of those guys were in the same situation as Bivol i.e. undefeated champion about to head into an undisputed clash when those rumours surfaced plus social media didn’t exist in those days.

Agreed...I'm just guessing but I wouldn't downplay the mental side of things either especially in a fight as close as this. Beterbiev seems unfazed by the occasion whereas Bivol looks a lot more tense than usual probably due to what's happening in his personal life. Anyhow, this is just speculation on my part but I believe that Beterbiev has the edge mentally.

Lol I agree with almost everything you said (Bivol instigated the divorce etc) and was about to give you a like UNTIL you said he upgraded with a 'better looking girl'. Sorry bro but she's damn near 40yo and looks like this without make-up on...do you STILL think he got an upgrade?
