I'm happy for Lerena. He got a raw deal in his fight with Dubois. According to the WBA's rules, if you're knocked down three times in one round the fight should be called off as TKO. So Lerena should have had the WBA Regular belt, and then a lucrative rematch with DDD. But we know the rules aren't always applied when the B-side visiting fighter deserves the victory, and that seems to be the case in the Dubois fight. Apparently, BBoBC rules were applied to the fight instead of WBA rules

I hope Lerena does decide to go for the unification with the WBA bridger champ. Okolie should have done that but he's decided to jump up to heavy and I'm not sure he's going to have much success there. But maybe that Riyadh season money is what he's really chasing. He's also demanding a Top5 ranking. Would love to see Okolie thrown in there with someone in the lower Top 10. Maybe Jared Anderson, Hrgovic or Ajagba. Just to see what level he's at and whether he can keep up with the big boys.

Lawrence hasn't looked like the fighter some thought he might be and doesn't look like much of a threat to many at heavyweight.

Lawrence is required to earn a ranking. Any fighter should need to, when jumping a division. Justis Huni, a light punching prospect has snagged a top 10 Ring Magazine ranking this month, very, very prematurely (an indefensible practice that their ratings personnel has LONG been famous for); and he represents an easy path to a top 10 rating. Lawrence should broker a fight with Justis Huni, who is the ONLY top 10 ranked fighter that he might match up well against.

Okolie has been a disappointment at Cruiser/Bridger, so what's he realistically going to accomplish at Heavyweight?
              (That's a rhetorical question)

With four organizations and the bottom of the rankings being totally random, I thought why not just throw him in somewhere around 13~15? It ain't gonna change that much...but upon reading the article it says he wants a top 5 ranking and that seems like quite a stretch... For reference, the WBC heavyweight top 15 right now after Usyk is Fury, Kabayel, Bakole, Zhang, Ajagba, Jalalov, Sanchez, Wardley, Hrgovic, Ortiz, Wallin, Wilder, Ruiz, Anderson, Vianello.

There is no way this snoozefest of a man deserves to be in top 5 of anything, unless it's a list for "boxers that can put a glass eye to sleep".

And he certainly doesn't deserve to take a spot away from Zhang, Bakole, Kabayel or even Ajagba laughably.

Because one of them four would have to lose out because Fury isn't losing his spot after just losing his belt, lets not forget Wilder was #1 after losing to Fury twice arguably thrice.

Strange, but I doubt many people are coming to this site looking for political coverage.....
