      Surely, AI can be tweaked and fine-tuned to better discern what is offensive and what is just friendly banter. Of course, the technology is in its infancy, so there's plenty of room for improvements.

          It's no longer in its infancy - it is a multiple times more powerful than it was in 2020 and for example Chat GPT by 2028 will have the combined intelligence of 1 million PHDs and be able to access and employ that intelligence in a matter of a few seconds. Unless we learn to regulate that intelligence almost immediately then people getting banned on here will be the least of our concerns.

            I'm not sure it is AI - it's just a spell check algorithm with an input of words from a Li-ber-al moderator - "Li-ber-als - all for freedom except where it affronts their beliefs"
