He beat Stieglitz, who is a top 10 Super Middleweight. He deserved to beat Bute in the opinion of many. Dirrell hasn't fought anyone even close to the top 10. Ward did well against Miranda but he isn't top 10, and that's the only person he's fought who isn't a complete journeyman.Comment

Depends on who's ratings youre going by, Miranda is still top ten in some.He beat Stieglitz, who is a top 10 Super Middleweight. He deserved to beat Bute in the opinion of many. Independent ones? Alphabet ratings don't count, they have zero credibility. I don't see how he can be top 10 at Super Middleweight in any credible independent rankings, as he hasn't even come close to beating anyone meaningful at the weight; and I haven't seen any independent rankings that have him in the top 10. ESPN don't list him (but do list Stieglitz, and they have Andrade at #4, same as The Ring). boxrec rank him at #21. East side don't list him. What independent ones that have any credibility list him in their top 10?
And regarding the effect of the Bute loss on Andrade's ranking, it's perfectly normal for the ranking of a fighter who loses, but who arguably deserved to win, against a highly ranked fighter, to go up a lot. That's why JMM's P4P ranking soared when he lost very narrowly to Pacquiao.Comment
