Just weeks or months ago everyone on social media is accusing Fundora of ducking Crawford. Which can be easily translated to these folks DO want to see Crawford tackle Fundora.

Now all of a sudden no one is coming out to celebrate. They're supposed to be promoting the fight.

There's no basis for the ducking allegations. Fundora fought Tszyu in March. So few months ago he was resting and nursing his injuries. Which fighters fight separating only five months in between his fights? Certainly not Crawford. Took him one year to come back in the ring for Madrimov which took place in August. And it's a money fight.

Crawford hasn't even made any effort to at least show he's serious about the Canelo fight. He hasn't reached out to Canelo's management team, which now includes PBC.

He didn't even go to the Canelo/Berlanga fight and instead went to the PPV competitor which was happening at the same time. Huge insult to PBC and the Mexican fighter.

Would it not have been better if he showed up in the Canelo fight? He could have either made a friendly plea or made it confrontational in the post fight. Either way it would have showed something. He's relying heavily on youtubers obsessed with the fight and Turki, who made it clear he's no longer interested in the fight.

Bud isn't getting a Canelo fight, certainly not at the money Canelo wants, which doesn't leave much for Bud, unless he can bring more to the table. If he can't get that money fight, going for the only boxer in history to achieve 3 division undisputed is a reasonable legacy fight. If he manages it, only Inoue would have any chance to match or eclipse it, and that would be extremely difficult as Inoue looks to be the smaller man already at 122. Although very few fighters can claim to have fully cleaned out two divisions.
Finally somebody else can also see the obvious road ahead for Bud.

He's serious. It's a retirement fight that promises huge stacks of cash. He's just not making any effort to make the fight, except talk or do it in a passive manner.
He believes Turki can make it happen. No one expects him to talk and deal with PBC, or Canelo and his team directly. He's not Lara who made himself look like a fool standing beside Canelo in one of his press conferences. He's also not Andrade, who got embarrassed for stalking the Mexican fighter and shows up in his press conferences. He's certainly not Amir Khan who negotiated his fights on his own. Crawford is expecting the fight to be offered to him on a silver platter.

Its actually a good interestijg fight. To beat Fundora, you need an armory which Bud may not possess at 154 seeing how his power didn't translate much in the Madrimov fight. Will his savviness carry the day or is this where he looks every bit the 37-38 year old when the fight finally happens. Very intriguing fight especially for more straps and am excited to see it if it happens. These are fights we need to support and not Wahid and a Roach caliber of fight.

Fundora gets his clock cleaned by any and all of the other 154 top guys, whoever snatches him first. Save for the cut, he was well on his way to getting pummeled by Tszyu.
