Only way is to go ahead with the purse bid.
The mechanism on how the fight gets done does not matter. All I am saying is that Crawford is finally realising that Canelo will not fight him and has now decided to move towards becoming undisputed at 154. Fundora is the next step on that journey. I believe that Turki will pay to have that fight made. He seems to love Crawford.

Oh I know. I get that and because of how that fight turned out, I can't see Crawford chomping at the bit to get with another high risk, low reward appointment.

I'm not arguing. I was speculating, which is why I started my post with, "IT COULD BE any number of things..." Meaning, I'm not sure.

We're not sure if Crawford, Fundora and PBC are in ongoing negotiations. Media has no clue. No one knows.

You can have your own speculation yourself. Who knows how Crawford is dealing with this? You could be right, and he's going ahead with this fight, whether on his own volition or being forced into it. Who knows?

There's some on social media announcing bad news for TC because PBC is making Fundora vs Spence, instead.
Meaning, just a few months ago people were presenting Crawford's seriousness about this Fundora title fight. I mean months, not a year ago.
Now they're back to TC is only after money fights. What happened?
Yep. Just few months ago they were saying idealistic things about Crawford moving forward. "He should unify and go for undisputed." Now all of a sudden he's old and can't take risk as if the Canelo fight is sure to happen.

The way Turki and Canelo went at it - it is almost certain the Canelo vs Crawford fight is not happening.

This whole thread is full of stup1d. It's a perfectly good fight for Bud. Fundora has 2 of the remaining 3 belts at 154, and the third belt is being contested this month.

Bud isn't getting a Canelo fight, certainly not at the money Canelo wants, which doesn't leave much for Bud, unless he can bring more to the table. If he can't get that money fight, going for the only boxer in history to achieve 3 division undisputed is a reasonable legacy fight. If he manages it, only Inoue would have any chance to match or eclipse it, and that would be extremely difficult as Inoue looks to be the smaller man already at 122. Although very few fighters can claim to have fully cleaned out two divisions.
