He can't say what he doesn't know. If you read the post he clearly says that nobody told him why he was fired but according to him he was doing a good job.
We are yet to here the other side of the story on this one.

Strategically they probably can't really say without disclosing what they're working on in the sparring.

1st of all you mentioned a lot of good reasons that COULD OR MAYBEhappened in the camp that justifies that El gato should had been fired and yes it happens all the time with sparring partners but if you are firing somebody it is only PROFESSIONAL to tell the person why.

2nd Gato didn't start or released this to the press it was reported here on 10/14/2009 (see link below) with no information neither from Cotto or Gato and that's were the speculations started. After that Gato was so PROFESSIONAL that he came to this webite (see El Gato posts) and denied rumors generated by a dum poster here saying that El Gato had knocked down Cotto 3 times and even praised the way they are working with Cotto, when he could had easily ignore the post and say nothing. Beside the good thing he mentioned he did mention that he was not aware why he was kicked out. So it was not El Gato's big mouth and from now on until Cotto's camp say something the question will continue to be asked.

3rd. Yes he was invited to camp and it's the 2nd camp he is invited to, and if he did come early, that even shows more PROFESSIONALISM and willing to help.

Look on all my post I have said that this if IF it is true that El Gato was not informed why he was fired, because we have yet to hear Cotto;s camo version and it just leaves to speculation, but by what we so far have heard and the way the story is being told it is jus simple, fair, deservingly and above all PROFESSIONAL to tell a person why you are firing him.

Mis respetos Boricua pero no opinamos de la misma manera en esto.

Por lo menos una cosa si vamos hacer juntos, tu por tu lado y yo por el mio, y es que el 14 de Noviembre vamos a celebrar!!!

my friend u are misinformed, yes im aware he worked with cotto prior to judah's fight but this time he wasnt invited. he was interviewed just yesterday on official scorecards & the articles title was el gato figueroa sets rumors about cotto camp straight, but el gato states that he was trying tirelessly to get a hold of anyone from cotto's team & got lucky on twitter while he was in rome italy. they told him to come down when he got back to the states. so if u called that being invited then i guess thats ur point of view. but to me he pressed to be hired which he was for a week....i dont think cotto has to give anyone excuses on why he chooses not to use him anymore good or bad, thats his porragative. & the rumors are just idiots from his ******* page trying to get some statement out of him. they asked him did he drop u? no answer...the they asked did u knock him down? no response....why u think he wouldnt brag to his friends about it if he did, uu can tell by the way he hypes himself on his twitter like his an upcoming star(on the road to the championship) that his the type to brag about something like that....cause that bi..h got fu..ed up....thats why he doesnt wanna comment....anyways the rumors are just made by ******ed idiots. but what i wanna know is why you choose to take el gato's side when hes a bum, a wanna be, yes hes boricua but if hes gonna do the interview i read & try to make doubts on cotto's camp that he was let go for doing good sparring, then f..k that bum. he was asked to come due to his pesistence to help, not try & stir some bs to get his name in the papers on cotto expense. so to me hes the unprofessional here....cotto still hasnt said anything & probably never will cause its silly & ****** & hes better than that.....el gato was KO'd by randal bailey another of cotto victims....he might have been good sparring work 2 years ago when he was still undefeated but not now, which is why he was never formally invited like all the rest. maybe cotto should have just laid it straight raw & said u suck & then just reported to the media like freddie roach does but that just aint cotto style.....

Regardless of whether Gato pressed to be in the camp---they could've just as easily said "no" to his persistence like how they easily fired him. Right? If they could do that then an explanation would've been nice like "you're not what we needed" or "your Gato moves suck", etc.

When you want a job you do many efforts to get it, there's nothing wrong with El gato looking for being on Cotto's camp even Calderon offered his service several times on the media is he unproffesional because of that. The fact is that he was hired anyway. And I agree that it's Cotto prerrogative to tell his employee or not, why he has been fired, but it will be our prerrogative to classify him as UNPROFESSIONAL or not on this matter because of how he treats his employee IF this really happened or until he decides to clear this out . Would you considered you employer UNPROFFESIONAL if after all the efforts you made to get a job, you are finally hired, but afterwards you are kicked out with any excuse??
You talk about how El Gato seems to brag about being on the road to championship, but let me ask you a question, doesn't every boxer say the same thing? Is that the ultimate goal for the men who choose this sport?

On did he respond or not to if he had knocked down Cotto, he did not probably do it where you looked, but to help you be better informed see the links below that come for this website were El Gato can't be more clear and PROFESSIONAL about the situation.

On me picking sizes, you are wrong again. I'm not fan of El Gato but I am a die hard fan of Miguel Cotto since he started in El Albergue Olimpico School, which is only like 15 minutes from my home town, but I call them as I see them. I have clearly said over and over that this is IF, what El Gato saying is true and we are yet to hear the other side of the story, however we haven't heard from the other side so in the meantime in my eyes YES, Cotto's camp was UNPROFESSIONAL on this matter, not on his entire career but yes on this matter.
It's not about was he a worthy sparring partner or so many other reason that Cotto's camp probably had justification to fire him it was on the low classy, undeservingly and UNPROFESSIONAL matter on which they did it.
