I don’t dispute that. To be fair, that destroyed image came at the hands of a fighter who was clearly using performance enhancing banned substances so this lawsuit is not without merit. I for one favour state aggravated assault charges for those who use PEDs while engaged in combat sports as well. Garcia has gotten off very light. Ban these fighters for life, sit them, and charge them criminally when this happens in any of the 50 American states or territories and you’ll see this stop.

I agree with you 100% Oldschoolg. Taking drugs to make you bigger, stronger, faster, and angrier is criminal!

Teo Sr. would know about how to destroy an image given his role in helping Teo Jr. wiz away his image since the early ESPN days when he was knocking out people and looking like a potential main****** star.

Meanwhile, it’s hilarious how all of the Ryan groupies are hysterically vilifying Haney for doing exactly what he should do by suing Garcia. They would be better off starting a GoFundMe page for Ryan’s legal fund.. The guy’s got big issues: no money coming in because of his suspension while a lot is going out (personal stuff, legal issues, etc). Garcia can troll and joke all he wants, but let’s see how much he trolls and jokes when he's in deposition and in court for the Haney lawsuit.

Not only the Haney legal issues, but more than likely other legal issues this emotionally disturbed Ryan Garcia is going to have in the future.

Teofimo Sr is partially correct. Despite Ryan Garcia cheating, Garcia exposed quite a few of Haney's weaknesses. It's hard to recover from exposure like this (Haney's ability to generate revenue has taken a hit). Fighters should be salivating at a chance to face Haney and leapfrog him in the welterweight standings. Haney has to do quite a bit of image rebuilding.

Teofimo Lopez could use a booster himself. He lost against Kambosos, beat an overrated Taylor, and just got by Ortiz.

Haney and Lopez Jr should get in the ring and settle who's stock deserves to rise...and who's stock deserves to fall.

Teofimo Sr. knows a thing or two about fighters weaknesses being exposed.
Because his son's weaknesses were exposed, even before Devin's weaknesses were exposed.

All ped cheats should be given the same treatment. Suspension for at least a year if not outright banned, a lawsuit and forced into year around drug testing (at least 3x a month) for the rest of their career, if no ban.

I don't care for Haney, but i wish ped cheats would be dealt correctly and banned or suspended at least a year if not more

Exactly. Yes Devin's image has taken a hit with the loss. But what about Ryan's image. (1) drugs and liquor instead of training for the fight (2) purposely being unprofessional and missing weight (3) 'paling' around with 4Chan *********s (4) espousing extremely racists views towards blacks, ******s and others, getting arrested for B&E his baby mommy's home (5) neglecting to care for his child (6) committing felony property destruction in a historic hotel ... I mean what else do people need to see to question his image? You're right Oldskool this guy has gotten off completely light and to make it worse he's going around laughing and bragging about it. I guess this is what they call the "machismo culture". Seems pretty lame to me!

Haney's image even before the Garcia debacle is not exactly pristine or saintly. When he pushed Loma so hard in the weigh in, that did it for me. He's got venom in his heart. I wasn't surprised a lot of people rooted for Garcia. His fellow AA were seen on Youtube celebrating, happy to chime in and expressed their satisfaction of the result. It's undeniable, they are presented as links when you logged on YT. Keyshawn Davis and others didn't mention anything about Garcia being overweight going into the fight. One of the biggest viral moments in YT history.
