The ****'n ref in the Parker fight coddled Joshua to keep the fight at a distance, every time Parker tried to fight on the inside, the ref stepped in and reset the fight at Joshua's preferred distance. He even allowed Joshua to call his own time out. The ref in the Joshua-Dubois was equally disgraceful in Joshua's favor.

Ruiz jr lost the rematch at the buffet, it wasn't a "brilliant" Joshua performance that Hearn wants Joshua fanboys to believe.

Joshua was a good HW in a weak era, he was never an elite talent that he was hyped up to be by Hearn and the Brit media.

      Bellend before the fight

"The only thing is that everything he’s good at, Anthony Joshua is better. I’ll be amazed if it gets to round three, I’ll be shocked if it gets past three rounds"

i think he may well be in love with AJ

I think fury beats him as well.

Fury fight with usyk he didnt look bad he just gassed and Usyk made adjustments but fury was schooling him for a few rounds in the middle of the fight just using a ton of energy to do it. I mean if fury can land on Usyk like he did then that shows his timing, reflexes ect are all sharp. he should be able to piece up AJ in that case.

He was hesitant because he is a head case. Mentally, the guy just doesn't have it. Does everyone forget how he acted after the Usyk loss? He started the way he did because he was afraid of getting caught. He doesn't need better training, he needs a therapist!

AJ must have some magical hold over some people, there is always the, if he could just have done this a bit different or a small bit better it would have been totally different, well ok then rematch this guy & knock him out and look great & then rematch usyk after that if he beats fury & then u can have all the flowers u want

Dubois was clearly the faster of the two. Which makes me think that a shootout wouldn't have played to AJ's advantage. Bellew is right about fitness, though. That may well be AJ's edge. Which is why I believe that in the event of a rematch, AJ should come in leaner, at 240 lbs, in order to be a bit nimbler, lighter on his feet, and just try to survive the first 6 rounds, keeping his hands up and throwing mostly jabs. Dubois will need a breather at some point, which is when AJ should step it up.

If there was ever a guy who needed to be shown the Emanuel Steward 1-2 clinch then repeat, it's Joshua. Vlad Klitschko and Lennox Lewis made a career out of it. He has the size. I think it's too late in his career. I'm not sure he ever had a trainer that he was willing to listen to.

why didnt AJ spit his dummy did he forget that too

with the ref he had he would have given him 5 mins to sort that out & then start the count

DuBois came out with a fight on his mind. He wanted to get things going early and try to end the fight early. I don't blame him. Joshua is a big guy, soft but big. Joshua wanted to come out and measure things before fighting. Not DuBois, that was the difference. Joshua just doesn't have that killer mentality like a Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield or younger Wilder. People have to accept that Joshua is a not what he is cracked up to be. Those type of fighters come around once every 20-25 years. Joshua isn't one of them. They can make all of the excuses for Joshua that they want but the reality is that he just isn't good enough to be an all-time great. The best thing they can do for Joshua is match him with Wilder.
