I dint know why people (especially Mexicans) continue to hate David. He hasn't avoided anyone and he's consistently fighting the best that his division has to offer. It's not his fault that Canelo won't fight him. This is what us Americans want. The best against the beat when they're young and hungry. This is LeBron vs Kobe before they reached their prime. GOOD SHYTE FELLAS!

And I heard that the WBC is putting benavidez back s a mandatory for canelo's belt. I believe benavidez on this one. WAR

Neither guy looks as effective as 175, but I doubt either goes back to 168. WBC made Benavidez Canelo's mandatory knowing David is never melting down to 168 again.

And clearly David believes he can beat Morrell. Fingers crossed the Cuban accepts the challenge.

I’m glad it’s official. A Cuban boxing page I follow on Facebook posted the rumor last night. They’re often good about such things. I’m very hopeful Morrell comes through on this offer. Bad look if he doesn’t. So many of us would look forward to this fight; it could probably do a PPV.

Just because you did fight guys in your younger years does not give you license to run from guys when you're hoarding the belts and making claims like being the best boxer in the world and then give excuses why you won't fight guys who you can make the most money with and fans are clamoring for it but "you can do whatever you want" yes you can and I and the rest of the fans can call you a chicken **** for doing so too. Why would someone so beloved do this to his career? It would have been less damage to taken the fight and gotten his face mashed in than what he's done to his reputation.

Wait for it …. Canelo loyalists and apologists will be coming for you with extraordinary words like “I’ll believe it when I see it” or “Benavidez is about to get exposed” or “finally Benavidez is fighting a credible opponent”.

All these while ignoring that Canelo is fighting the likes of Munguia, Berlanga and a 154 guy. Neftvfor Canelo will be Connor Benn or Mayorga and it will be heralded as the super fight of 2025.

So the ball is in Morrel's court now. If this fight doesn't happen next it's because he doesn't want it. Plain and simple. I applaud Benavidez for making the offer. Morrell is another top name in the division. Taking him out would get hm one step closer to Canelo.
