Kevin Rooney was a part of the Cus D'Amato team and I believe Bill Cayton(his business manager) was specifically picked by Gus to take good care of Tyson and they were all doing their jobs properly until Tyson fired them.

Tyson replaced Cayton for Don King and Rooney for some yes men who had no idea how to train nor handle a corner during fights. I was a big fan of Tyson back in the day and was sad to see his career deteriorate unnecessarily and prematurely.

Some of the younger posters who never saw him fight call him overrated but these cats never knew the history of Tyson and how much of a bad ass he was in that ring.

A focused Tyson at his diminutive height with his speed would be a nightmare for any heavyweight fighter in any era. Tyson was undersized even for his era so I feel he’s one of those pound for pound all time nightmare kind of guys. The sad truth is I feel cus loved Mike but also saw him as his last hurrah but never really spent much time working with Mike in living life. His wife did when she could get her hooks into Mike but cus wanted him solely living for the fight and didn’t do so great at preparing him for life when the final bell rings.

It's a negotiation ploy. Canelo just trying to get a bigger cut of the fight against Crawford. That's why he mentions Bivol rematch. Canelo does really want that easy payday.

Maybe...... It's definitely possible. I believe fighting Crawford would be better for Ginger's health than fighting Benavidez.

Absolutely! Not only was Tyson a mean mother but he had great technique. His head movement and proper punching technique along with his speed was awesome, I thought he had great boxing fundamentals. Some of today's heavyweights are sloppy and don't even keep their hands up.....

Tyson is 57 years old. His fight with Jake is an “exhibition” fight. So what mismatch are you talking about?

Lastly, Canelo fans will still watch Canelo even if he fought Mayorga so you go ahead and watch all them fights. Tyson just said he won’t watch it. A lot more people believe Bud has no shot at Canelo so should we all skip their fights?

You are correct about the exhibition bout being a cash grab though. Mike still owes the IRS plenty so I don't blame him. Besides, he isn't forcing any of us to purchase the fight, nor is he claiming to be a top ranked boxer...
