Berlanga was way bigger and taller, Crawford is taller than Canelo and was a big 147, being scared to move up in weight like King Canelo.
Without disrespecting Canelo I'm gonna defend Tyson. I don't remember Tyson avoiding anyone and he fought some big big dudes.... He was also mismanaged and poorly trained for a few of his bouts and after his stint in prison. He should have retired earlier but continued because he owed the IRS heavily.

I will say that Canelo has been smarter about his career, taken it more serious and has surrounded himself with people that genuinely care about him. The same can't be said about Tyson unfortunately.

Tyson could have achieved higher status had he had a different team, in my opinion.

I beg to differ with you on Tyson management and team, mention all the dope and drugs during his career he was taken before blaming others, he was great but could have been ever greater!

As should any actual self respecting boxing fan. At this point the Alvarez circus has pretty much told yall “we don’t care, we make the same money for fighting lesser opponents and the fans will still pay” in so many ways called yall the dumb azzez yall are.

Who the Reynosos? they get x percentage of each of his fights, I’d care too. dude is just a wallet to them. They also from perspective seemed to have used their lesser known talent to test drugs for the big guy. Look before and after his failed test, how many from that camp has posted dirty.

Well yeah, but that's what your team is for. To advise you and to keep you out of trouble...

I'll give you an example. When Oscar the Golden Boy was a young star. He was G-ambling after one of his fights, can't remember which one but I believe it was before he fought Trinidad. Oscar was down around a million to the casino. Somebody from his team informed Bob Arum and Arum was quick to get the Casino to cut him off and got Oscar out of the G-ambling floor.

Your team is supposed to keep you out of trouble and focused, not a bunch of enablers. When you've reached that kind of status in any field, you hire a solid and professional team. Your friends don't become your trainers, managers, attorneys, CPAs, etc...

I'm not sure how old you are, but do you remember the team Tyson had before his fight with Douglas and the team he had when he fought Douglas? Different management firm and his buddies were training him and were in his corner that evening.

His corner didn't even have Enswell nor ice to apply between rounds... They were applying a balloon/glove filled with water around his eyes(no kidding man), to try and prevent swelling. Tyson's corner that night was a sad sight to see. I'd encourage you to see that fight again and pay close attention to his corner between rounds. You'll understand what I mean by what a "bad team" is.

Tyson's team was getting paid to take care of him, but it doesn't mean they actually cared about him.

Tyson really didn’t have a family, he only has cus and once he lost him he was out here on his own without anyone to keep him grounded. It’s a very unfortunate situation actually and also a miracle that Mike outside the ring didn’t end up killing anyone.

Kevin Rooney was a part of the Cus D'Amato team and I believe Bill Cayton(his business manager) was specifically picked by Cus to take good care of Tyson and they were all doing their jobs properly until Tyson fired them.

Tyson replaced Cayton for Don King and Rooney for some yes men who had no idea how to train nor handle a corner during fights. I was a big fan of Tyson back in the day and was sad to see his career deteriorate unnecessarily and prematurely.

Some of the younger posters who never saw him fight call him overrated but these cats never knew the history of Tyson and how much of a bad ass he was in that ring.

It's a negotiation ploy. Canelo just trying to get a bigger cut of the fight against Crawford. That's why he mentions Bivol rematch. Canelo does really want that easy payday.
