I expected him to beat Dubois tbh but Dobois has looked hungry since Joe Joyce smashed his head in.
Heavyweight boxing is a funny old game. Joyce is now done and Dobois is riding high. Joyce had the potential to be a world champion with better matchmaking, so I really don't understand the criticism with Joshua, he's had a great career and not ducked anybody. He could still win a rematch against the man that was brutally kod by slow as hell Joe Joyce
And he's ducked more fighters than any heavyweight of this era...IMHO.

He fought everyone who he had to fight. Mandatories, unifications, rematches for titles. They were the fights he made. He was a three belt titlist - that comes with frequent mandatories.
He fought Usyk. Then went and did it again when plenty of people thought it was a bad move. He very clearly tried to make fights with Fury and even his 'rebuild' has been all about making a fight with Fury. There Wallin and Ngannou fighters were solely about putting pressure on Fury to take the fight.
Wilder when they were both champions is the only question mark. Wilder himself has said that he chose Fury over fighting Joshua. After they lost their belts he clearly made the fight with Wilder last year only for Wilder to lose twice and take the fight off the agenda.
You will obviously think he that should have fought Parker again but no-one was calling for that.Gamboal00 likes this.

He hasn’t been able to take a solid punch but tonight he did. He was rocked by Joshua and took the heat. AJ looked slow in following up his shot and then it was over. I thought the referee was for shat as AJ was holding Dubois countless times and no warning. Not one. Congratulations to Dubois. Excellent job in keeping a stiff jab in Joshua’s face and using head movement when he moved in.Rockenator likes this.

In their respective fights leading up to this, one guy was facing the significantly better opponents and that guy won by KO. AJ conned his way into another title shot. Clever matchmaking ended disastrous. Should’ve just fought Wilder back in 2018 for the undisputed title jacka**

Joshua was brutalised last night and he should just walk away.
For a man that supposed to be a student of the game he surely didn’t learn anything last night , his defence was absolutely shocking and showed zero lack of awareness.
i like Joshua and what kind of nights he has given us but like in all walks of life every dog will have his day and he has had his….but now we can all see the game is up and he should just be happy with what he’s achieved and go spend his millions.
Boxing will always be the winner and Dubois will go the same way as Joshua did and get knocked out…. it’s the inevitability of stepping in that ring with a younger hungrier lion.
There are only so many times you can market a damaged fighter and this loss and the way he lost is to damaging for people to swallow here comes AJ mark 3.
and that’s coming from a big supporter of Joshua….He is cookedPNUT901 likes this.
