Turki did not want English to feel left out after the Saudi national anthem was played in USA. If we didn't know why the Saudi King would give Turki a billion dollars to overpay the world's best boxers from show to show - now we know the reason - to hear the Saudi anthem played to a full stadium and millions watching it online in USA and in UK when none of the Saudi boxers are involved. It is kind of one upmanship and superiority only a billion dollars can buy in today's world. If you can buy it why not. It shows that everything is for sale at the right price.

By the way, you are right - you couldn't make this shhhiiiittt up.

He took it as fuel and decided to prove the haters wrong. Takes a tough man to do that. The Usyk fight forged that dude and may well prove to be the catalyst for a unification run.

      Great stuff.
When you’re right, you’re goddamn right. Best thing to ever happen to Daniel was losing to Usyk. It brought out a pissed off animal.

Power, yes. IQ, impossible given DD disability. Like I’ve written here, it’s nothing short of a miracle that FD is able to perform at such a high level. DD is not a quitter. He can lose his focus as was the case in the Usyk fight. But that comes with his disability which is far more problematic than having ADHD.

Also, lots of talk from Fast Eddie, on how Joshua was going to win, no luck. Finally, Eddie take a break from predicating fights. When Joshua got hurt in the first round, you could see in his face, the following rounds, he was in deep trouble.
Had there been time left after that round 1 KO, he would have been finished. That shot was flush and AJ was still ****ed up at the start of round 2

He also seems to look to his corner for guidance when he should know what to do and focus on the fight Infront of him. I expected him to beat Dubois tbh but Dobois has looked hungry since Joe Joyce smashed his head in.

Heavyweight boxing is a funny old game. Joyce is now done and Dobois is riding high. Joyce had the potential to be a world champion with better matchmaking, so I really don't understand the criticism with Joshua, he's had a great career and not ducked anybody. He could still win a rematch against the man that was brutally kod by slow as hell Joe Joyce
He has the look of someone who was placed at the top of the mountain, and he’s the only one who knows he didn’t climb it while being credited for it

If you like, read my post about AJ v DD. I left you some crumbs that clearly point to his disability. FYI, in boxing you must submit an MRI that is less than one year old. An MRI cannot determine certain neurological symptoms. Next, at the post fight weigh in you’re seen by a general physician woh only does basic test such as measure blood pressure, heart rhythm, eye check, and May inquire about meds you may be prescribed. That’s it. DD will go under the radar because an MRI as well as the basic test I mentioned will not uncover his disability. However, if DD were to be given a cognitive test, he would have no chance of passing and such test would open the floodgates to the underlying condition. However, DD can still perform as a boxer, but, when many call him a quitter, they have no clue that it is quite easy for him to get lost in a brain fog where he is just totally lost. That’s potentially dangerous.

              • Wow, impressive by Dubois. He dominated, got briefly buzzed by a couple of right hands, recovered and boom, knocked AJ out.

I think many of us probably overrated the significance of Joshua's ko of Ngannou.

A rematch, Dubois would blitz him again I'd say. Joshua is probably done. He had a good career, made so many millions, can chill.

                • Dubois boxed well behind his jab and that gave Joshua problems straight away because Dubois came out fast with it and he was looking for a fire fight where as Joshua didn't really have that mindset going into that opening round and before Joshua could get his bearings, Dubois had already cracked him and the writing was on the wall from then on. Dubois was in there to do a demolition job from the jump
