Canelo has his own niche cherrypicking up and comers and makes a lot of bank doing that.

Nelo will fight the winner out of Benevidez, Bivol and Beterbiev. Let them beat each other up, and whoevers at top of food chain, Nelo will fight, hopefully

So if sanctioning bodies or fans won’t force Canelo to fight whom we want, forget bs titles. Bivol Beterbiev is great & is for titles. Benevidez in that mix is great. Crawford & Boots & Tank & Ryan Garcia & Usyk, etc can be exiting with or without bs titles. We want competition, not necessarily belts.

I was watching the Canelo fight with a few friends last weekend. They mostly watch UFC but some boxing. They don’t even know who Benavidez is. Outside of NSB groupies he is not a mainstream name. His only PPV as a headliner bombed and Al Haymon put him on Tanks undercard for his last fight so he wouldn’t take another bath losing money on Benny.

These were the same homies that kept asking me when the Canelo/GGG fight was going to happen for years.

This is a fight hardcore boxing fans want but there isn’t mainstream outcry for it. I don’t think it would do big PPV numbers either. If it doesn’t happen it won’t change Canelo’s place in the game one iota.

'He couldn't even land that on berlanga but Benavidez is just going to be wide open like a bum? You still have not realized Benavidez is actually very hard to hit clean? Guess who has realized this. Canelo'.

No. You're right that Benavidez is better than Berlanga but that doesn't mean Benavidez is harder to hit than Berlanga. Benavidez will be coming to win & probably to win inside the distance. He won't trust the judges to give him a fair shake v Canelo. He will be there to be hit. Berlanga was hard to hit with big shots because he came purely to survive 12 rounds.
