How do y’all feel about this fight? Mbilli is only half an inch taller than Bud with a short reach. He’s ranked #1 with the WBC and top 3 in the other organizations. He’s strong at and even stockier than Canelo. If Bud beats him, that would eliminate all the talk of Bud being too small for Canelo and it being a mismatch. Now, on the other hand, it’s a biiiiig risk because Mbilliis super strong and overwhelms opponents. Bud likes a slower paced fight, Mbilli won’t give him that. But it’s definitely a winnable fight. What ya think?

It’s not pointless. The point would be to secure the Canelo fight which is what he really wants. Those 3 fights you listed wouldn’t get him half the payday as 1 Canelo fight. And you’re taking about another 2 years of fighting, he’s made it clear he’s ready to retire. If he beat Mbilli, he will for sure be the next Canelo fight.

Crawford is essentially retired. He's not fighting Fundora who he petitioned for just few months ago. WBO ordered the fight and T Bud now says he has no interest in fighting Fundora. He uses names to bide time. He also has no interest in fighting Ortiz or Tszyu. But he has to use Canelo's name as a escape route.
