He should get paid in accordance how many people he can get to view him. He is basically an unknown and unless he fights a big name he won't be making much. Simple math.
Look at Frank Martin, a fighter that didn't even have a title but was demanding an above average purse, it looks like Norman will follow the same formula.

I know it is prize fighting but you got to position yourself for the best opportunities and that requires risks.

Is that how deep you believe TR's pocket is for a fight like this with a guy like Teo whom ESPN provides dates to on Thursdays? The guy is not even a PPV star. And how much do you think Teo would want for this fight? $ 5 million? Teo would rather get beat by someone like Crawford, which is the type of fights he's been calling out.
You can't blame fans for just casually throwing ridiculous, fantastic numbers. They've been brainwashed by fake-news disseminators masquerading as legit boxing writers. We have yet to see the media get back on real track. Everyone just seems to make up stories and figures unhampered. We need fact-checkers, independent investigative reporters. Not click-baiting, extremely biased joke writers.

Just few years ago, Wilder had his highest paycheck of $2 mil in the Ortiz 1 fight. That's a relatively big fight. Thurman, Garcia, Porter didn't get their first $1 mil paycheck till they fought one another. Porter got $500K in his title defense with Brook, who got $200K. Even today undercard fighters' paycheck hasn't gone up, $50K - $100K. Frank Martin had been getting $250K, according to Shakur, prior to their failed negotiations, which Martin neither confirmed nor denied.

And now look at this clown making up figures:
      https://www.thesportster.com/gervont...rses-earnings/

Which says Tank made an "estimated earnings of up to $25 million" in the Martin fight while Frank was "expected to take home $3.25 million." That means Tank made more in the Martin fight than in the Garcia fight.

You gotta be a complete idiot to believe this.

And if you look at the other sources, the differences in numbers are drastic. And that right there would show proof you can't trust any one of these evil doers. It's like asking a kid the difference between an apple and a chicken.

      One of them, MSN.com:
      https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/oth...ke/ar-BB1nZ2NC
According to Sporty Salaries, $2 million is guaranteed for Gervonta Davis in the bout with Frank Martin. Frank Martin, the opponent, might get up to $500k, which would be the biggest payday of his career.

On fight day, if the bout between Frank Martin and Gervonta Davis surpasses the 800k pay-per-view sales mark, Gervonta Davis will potentially earn a maximum of $10 million. In comparison, Frank Martin may earn a maximum of $1.5 million.

And we all know that fight didn't do good numbers, as expected because only few buy PPVs nowadays. The figures that come out are made up.

No reason why PBC won't go for another title for their 2 guys. Norman is not even under Arum's protective custody. He's with Main Events. Should be a pretty smooth deal.
Most fans dont say that. Most reasonable people think Norman should have taken the fight.

Its only the delusional Hearn haters who want to call that offer a lowball. Norman likely wont make that amount in his next 4 fights COMBINED

Yeah, those are obviously completely made-up, bogus numbers. Even Wilder didn't get overpaid that much by SHO in his fights with Brezeale, Ortiz 2, then Fury. Size of those fights can't be smaller than Tank vs Martin. Makes one wonder why these writers stake their reps just to prop up their brothas. For what(?), nothing. These people should be embarrassed for what they're doing. $25 million....oh my... Such figure could be enough to make 5 fight events (non-ppvs) on a 2 months schedule.

No such thing as fact-checking when it comes to the PBC mystery island. Media don't cover what's going on inside the island, negotiations taking place, who offered what to who, how much, who turned down who, etc. They just keep on throwing fake figures even when HBO, Showtime, Fox have left boxing. You'd think the exaggerations would die down. It's left unabated. It's a fk-d up sport with mostly fans of promoters, not fighters.
