I do recall him making a potential hypothetical catchweight matchup with Canelo at a 158 lbs. However, he wasn’t being serious or realistic.

This was mind you; Following the Errol Spence, Jr fight in July 2023. While he was still waiting on that immediate rematch that never took place last December.

However, since that time. It’s possible that he could have mentioned Canelo’s name. However, I just so happened to not be one of those who’ve heard him mentioned him.

Yeah. To put things into perspective, spence vs Porter in there unification bout were guaranteed a $2mil purse each. Whilst a washed Khan made $5mil as a mere opponent of Crawford when they fought. With Crawford taking home $5.5mil. Against Brook, Crawford made $3mil. When i said Bob was seriously over paying Crawford, i meant he was SERIOUSLY overpaying Crawford. This was the main reason why when the top w.w oppositions were offered, Bud was calling it low balling as he was getting paid double and some for fighting c grade opposition as is. Didnt make financial sense at all to entertain such fights outside of top rank, but to be getting paid that kinda money and at the end to take a shyt on Arum when they went there seprate ways was a b.s move on Buds behalf though i must say.

Haney did make a statement on social medial that he was going to file a law suit, but nothing was said after that.
So who knows if he actually did file a lawsuit against Garcia or not, maybe he was getting a lot of backlash about it being a punks move, and he left it alone.
That said Haney did appear to be hurt in that fight to the point that it may have left him with lingering effects to the rest of his life.
If that's the case then he's well within his legal rights to file a lawsuit, because he's already going to suffer financial because of the stigma left from his fight with Garcia.
Any lingering effects from their fight would diminish his skill sets in the ring against any future opponent.
Filing a lawsuit against a PED cheat, who caused you some permanent harm, would also send a message to all would be cheats that they could also be sued in court.
In other words your not just going to be find, and suspended by the states boxing commission, but your going to be sued in civil court.
If the damage to the fighter is permanent at some point may it may wind up in criminal court, because of the illegal use of a banned substance to raise their level of power, and stamina.

For someone who isn't a draw, Bud sure has an overinflated self worth but somehow he's been able to find a nice balance btw being a great fighter and getting paid well for it. I read he made some crazy figure like 10M for Avanesyan. If that is the case, I don't see how Canelo fight will even come off esp with Canelo asking for 9 figures and u know Crawford will be asking for 50-60M at least. Unless Turki already have guarantees for both, it will be a complicated negotiation as Spence noted in their negotiations.

Yep. Bud making $25mil vs Spence, and if thats correct $10mil vs Madrimov, then him asking maybe minimum $40mil for a Canelo doesnt seem unrealistic from his standpoint... cant see anyone paying him that much though esp after the madrimov performance which made the whole Crawford Canelo hype lose quite abit of steam. I think he will retire. As for spence, i think hes lost all desire and hunger, having being such a dominant force since he came on to the scene with no one really coming close to beating him, to completely getting battered is alot to come back from? Does he want it anymore? $25mil is a very nice retirement cheque. Personally i dont think he will and maybe its best for him not to if hes not got the hunger to do so either.

What would make sense is Devin take a couple comeback fights versus some cans, build up some confidence then a big fight.. but he’s being a diva acting like he just didn’t get slapped around. That’s the problem though is boxers thinking they’re bigger than they are. Get real you p****

Haney took a lot of clean shots in the Garcia fight. His next bout should determine retirement.
