I really don’t get why people drive under the influence but I’m from the UK and it’s a lot less car focussed here compared to the US.

I don't know what went wrong with this dude's career. He's clearly very skilled and got an entertaining style just like his brother. Fear of losing destroyed him. It's a terrible thing in this sport as if losing is not part of it. He probably took whatever his trainer, Shields, tells him directly or indirectly seriously. He called out of lot of fighters, yet didn't put his money where his mouth was. He may have asked Shields if he's ready for this or that fighter and Ronnie simply goes cricket every time. Things like that is so discouraging and doesn't boost confidence. Shields did it with Morrell, so it's a pattern. Bottom line is losing once should never be the end for any fighter's career.Last edited by brettWall; 09-02-2024, 01:12 PM.PRvazquez likes this.

The law makes it easy to blame anything on alcohol, like it's a sickness, but there are liquor stores everywhere. Blame yourself. Crack a beer enjoy life !!!!!!!
It is a symptom of a much larger problem which is called mental illness. It’s not the alcohol that is ruining these individual lives.
It’s their mental health which is ruining their lives. These individual’s lives were ruined long before they even touched a bottle of alcohol.
Sadly and unfortunately; People with mental health issues often turn to alcohol and dope in order to cope with their troubles.
Alcoholism is often used as a desperate attempt
at escapism. In order to run and hide from their
worries.
