However, even a "modest" payday in the $20 million range reflects Mayweather's enduring appeal and ability to command top dollar for his appearances.Aug 25, 2024

I'd gladly ''embarrass'' myself for half that.

I'd be shocked if he made anywhere near that. Even 3 million would be a stretch. Between the live gate and PPV , there's no way that this event made much , if any money.
DeLaHoya should take his own advice.

What’s next boxing with a bear, and fishnets dancing with Ryan in fishnet thongs!
Hey, you might be on to something......

I'm shocked that people go to ANY of these exhibitions at all
Seems like May found a niche that others are trying to emulate.
Even if it's ''only'' 3 mil
Easy money that not many would turn down.
And ''being broke'' doesn't have to be a motive

Until other, more ''convincing'' numbers are provided, I will go with info available.

I don’t disagree with you at all. If it happens it happens. My opinion about him as a boxer will never change - Floyd is 100% a top 5 . I won’t even argue with anyone who says he’s a top 3

What I meant with Sprewell is the guy turned down a $21 million three year contract because “it wasn’t enough to feed his family”. That was a dumb decision..

Sometimes a person bets on themselves and loses.
Boxers often find themselves pricing themselves out of a fight.
Team players find themselves traded or released.
          Dumb, c0 cky, both ?

It's a shame people are waiting for a guy to go broke, though
          Seems mean spirited.

Unfortunately there are people out here that are dead set on believing the worst about 'some' folks. They don't need proof because they have a deep seated hatred of 'some' people to believe anything negative they hear about them. If he is broke so what. He will always go down in history as a self made billionaire athelete who did it his way. Hat tip to him!!!
            It's sad
Not saying everyone has to like May but wishing he goes broke is that next level.
As if it will make them better people when/if it happens
            He goes broke, oh well.
If he gets richer, oh well.
If he falls in love with a bunch of gold diggers, oh well

            WTF

You are correct. I hope he keeps his wealth and sanity. Can you imagine the loony toon PAC fans’ reaction if it goes south for Floyd? I mean their idol is literally following Floyd’s footprint with his own exhibitions and they love him for it but lose their minds when Floyd does it.

We pay for everything hoping their love is pure.

99% of women love money more than the man anyway.
But that's his business which seems to be the focus on so many strangers minds

I'm willing to bet, if he invited mugs here to hang out with him, they would !
And that's why the suicide rate for men is significantly higher than the suicide rate for women. Men put women on a pedestal and put their mission in life to the side. Women put money and their mission in life on a pedestal and seldom contemplate suicide. Men are merely monkey branches to most women. See the difference?

Floyd was a Top 5 ATG fighter, but he's a sickening human being, and it pains me to say that about another Black man. I wouldn't remain in the same room with Floyd if you paid me. He doesn't respect people and believes money is a god. Money is useless if you're a garbage human being.

Again, every man pays for love in some form. To a sickening degree during the dating phase. Will work triple shifts to make the date the best EVER (wootwoot).

You're probably a fan of someone who has done worse things than May but are unaware.
You'd be surprised at how many people value money over other people.
In fact, money is the number 1 reason for crimes being committed. Life insurance !!!!!!
                      Same as a death certificate.
                      Wills ???
                      "Will" tear a family apart.

                      So, um, yeah.
