I think Madrimov lands easier on Boots than he did against Bud. Don't know enough about Madrimov's chin but Boots would need a KO.

I say that because Ennis is naturally bigger and a much stronger puncher than Terence Crawford. Moreover, Madrimov is not that hard to find because he fights flat-footed.
Now in regards to who is the better fighter? I agree. Bud is hands down a better fighter than Boots. It’s not even close or debatable. Crawford has the track record to prove it.
All I am saying is Jaron has more physical tools to become even more competitive than Terence Crawford was; With the naturally larger and stronger Madrimov due to Boots overall natural ability.
Remember that Bud is a natural lightweight. Where as Boots is a natural welterweight.

Larry Merchant: “A lot of pundits…have………dismissed Ennis as…a fresh-faced, unseasoned…Terrence Crawford. However…it would behoove them…to…remember that….Crawford is a natural lightweight….whereas Ennis is a natural welter…weight. With Crawford on the way out, the question is… ‘Is Ennis…on…the way…in?”
Jim Lampley: “Indeed that is what I and others are speculating. Given the interesting style match-up between Ennis and Madrimov, we turn it over to our ringside commentator and trainer Emanuel Steward. Emanuel, you’ve seen the power, you’ve seen the vigor, the size, the strength of Ennis before. He’s moving up in weight, how do you see this fight playing out?”
Emanuel Steward: “Well, Jaron is a little bit more slick than people notice. He kinda’ tends to stand flat-footed like he did in his last fight and isn’t afraid to exchange whenever he feels the other can’t hurt him. However, I don’t think he’s going to do that here. Madrimov is a very tricky fighter that bounces up and down, side to side, a lot of herky jerky movement, it’s going to be interesting what Jaron does because if he’s not able to get into his rhythm, Madrimov might just run away with it. If I was Jaron’s trainer, I’d want him to focus exclusively on the body, outwork him, and try to take him out down the stretch, but this is not an easy fight.”
Jim Lampley: “It certainly isn’t. With all that to digest, let’s send it up to Michael Buffer to set things off with our pre-fight pageantry.”Last edited by TintaBoricua; 09-02-2024, 07:02 AM.TelMex

I think Ennis would get hit a lot more than before, but he fights like he has that dog in him so I think he could eventually wear down Madrimov or at least grind out a tough decision. Difficult to say as neither have taken much damage in the past or been pushed to their physical limit. I felt Madrimov should've pushed harder vs Bud. He had a good gameplan and it almost worked, but at some point should've stepped up the intensity. Hard fight to call.
