Just vacate the ibf belt and fight Norman for his belt. Either way you only have one belt after your next fight. Why not have it be for fighting Norman instead of Karen?

It sounds like a good starting place for negotiations, but Arum is probably willing to pay Norman $2M for a showcase fight. I think that is the problem.

Boxing would be so much better off without these ****** sanctioning bodies
The problem with Ruling the Locker Room is people die.
The Locker Room is defined by the stories people tell.
        When people die,
        they only leave behind records.
Winning championship belts and unifying the division is a record.
Multiple title defenses are a record.
Beating somebody who was talked about as good but didn't have a belt?
        Not a record.

“You know what it is? If you’ve got the mandatory contender, you love the IBF rules,” Hearn explained. “And if you’ve got the champion, you can’t ****ing stand them.
          Exactly what it is.

Bud cleaned out 147. Boots has slim pickings there. Ennis blazed his way up and under Eddys wing. He can't do anything there for the protection and investment returns and politics. Boots can fight for minimum wage forever this way.

Norman Jr. made bird feed for the Santillan fight. You don't go from making bird feed to demanding fillet mignon in one fight. You eat what you kill. Norman Jr. hasn't killed much yet. Neither has Boots. Ennis will be 33 like Boo-Boo before he's in a major fight at this rate. Signing with Matchroom was dumb, but don't try to tell certain no-it-alls that.

There is no lion at 147. The last lion there was at 147 now fights at 154 and wears the WBA belt. When that lion was at 147, all the hyenas found a way to be invisible ~ "We're gonna go the IBF route!"

With big stables comes big waste. A lot of neglect and withering on the vine. No different.

I thought Eddie was coming to take over boxing in America.

If you can’t unify, move up! Ortiz Jr., Conwell, or Madrimov! Make It Happen! Karen is NOT an option!
