“I feel like Canelo’s fans don’t want the fight because if their guy loses, he will get devalued. ”
Thats exactly it. Canelo fans are too dumb to realize how transparent their insecurity is. They’ve spent years overvaluing Canelo and that’s why they love his weak level of opposition while condoning his ducking. Canelo’s legacy is already tarnished for multiple reasons and an additional loss is something that the egos of canelo nor his fan girls can handle.

#2 go to his weight class and beat credible opponents. They dont .You cant ask for Canelo after your 1st fight at 154. Crawford was hurt by Gamboa man ......you really question how. Canelo is not afraid to lose that 0. Every other boxer right now is . I'm not a Canelo fan
But the man puts the work in and fights consistently.

Cant compare Chavez/Taylor stoppage to Hearns/Barkley and Tyson/Ruddock. Barkley basically flattened Hearns with one shot. Ruddock fight should not have been stopped but Ruddock had not taken severe punishment like Taylor for 12 grueling rds. Taylor was spitting up blood with one eye closed and had just been knocked down by a brutal combo from Chavez. I dont believe Steele was fully aware of the time left in the round when he chose to stop it, it’s not his job to be timekeeper, but imagine if there were just say 20 seconds left in rd and Steele lets it continue with Chavez being one of the best finishers ever…Taylor might have ended up in a coma and not just urinating blood with a busted cheek bone in the hospital.
