This is when I knew the HOF was just not the same. I agree with Teo, Tim SMH, GTFOH.

However, he did take risks though. Bradley challenged and defeated both.a prime Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez all at 147; A division where Danny did Jack shit!

Danny Garcia would have never fought those guys in their primes because they were too good and he was too damn afraid of losing to them.

Nah, Danny came on late vs Thurman but lost. Porter was close too but Danny didn't seize it. Could have been a draw at best. KO Lara? It's possible if he can land the hooks, but very improbable Lara is normally tough to land and defensively responsible. Lara might KO Swift though. He's deceptively strong, fast, and accurate. Will be an interesting fight for sure.

There's too much shame around these days in being "just" a good fighter or having a good career.

Garcia for a few years was one of the best at 140, was painfully average at 147 though.

Good fighter, good career. Not a special talent though. Lucky with a few decisions that went his way as well.

dilution of the weight classes and belts.

8 belt era with 1 title.... garcia is never a champion and is a contender.

current era with 1 title, he MIGHT have been 140 lb champion for a BRIEF period.

Even in his PRIME he went the distance with shot zab judah and shot morales.

I think adding him to the HOF really hurts the credibility of the HOF and I was ok with guys like Gatti and Hatton gettin in on the basis of being in popular and exciting fights. Well garcia was neither popular nor talented. He was B level contender material who was champion in the diluted era.

And, also, a part of the issue is that each year we get 3 new fighters going in when there are not always going to be 3 stand out fighter'son the ballot - the HOF should spend more time redressing the oversights from previous decades - such as Nigel Benn, Chris Eubanks senior and Stevie Collins to name but three. Benn beat Gerald McClellan to name but just a few and imo the level that McClellan was at was far higher than either Khan or Matthyse. And Benn can't even get on the ballot.
It's crazy that Nigel Benn isn't in the HOF. He deserves inclusion.

I am not a fan of Manny BUT Bradley got beat by Manny three times.
The trilogy was set in motion by Bob the Gew just to milk money off both fighters

I can’t take this notion seriously at all. Danny was a solid fighter in his time. That’s about it. He got the most out of his limited skills by using his head. Same can be said about his career in general. Good pro. HOF career? Nowhere close. And dream on about an upset versus Lara. How that fight even got made in the first place is beyond me.
