I don’t see that happening unless plant goes on a tear, I also think plant isn’t doing himself favours by staying at super middle and should think about a move to light heavy. Plant is as doing well against Canelo but in typical plant fashion he got tired and got caught. Plant seems to gas out around the 8-9th rounds in every fight. Some have conjectured that it’s his style that tires him out and that’s plausible and I would certainly think his ko ratio would go up if he sat down on his punches more. I had him only a couple of rounds behind Canelo in their fight. While ca emo has solved his stamina problems, plant hasn’t. There could always be a physiological reason why this is the case, it could be style, or it could be he may need to reevaluate his strength and conditioning coach/program and dietician

100% on point. He always fades late even against lesser opposition. It might just be that he has outgrown the weight.

I like Caleb Plant and think he has fought the best... with that said Plant has no win or even a competitive fight vs an elite fighter.

Canelo and Benavidez beat Plant down and are LEVELS above him.

Actually watched Canelo V Plant late last night with my brother. Won maybe the first round maybe one other. Hardest shot Nelo took was Plants head on his cheek, was accidental. Every time Plant landed anything Nelo came back at him. He’s an obvious level below. Nelo picked off his shots. Was never worried and did not fear his power. He started breaking down and the finish was nasty. He’s tough, but he just didn’t have enough success in any aspect to deserve a rematch at all. He can fight mbilli or something. He wants the money fight of course.

The tragedy of Plant - as a fighter - is that he's almost great. But he is entertaining and a real dog.
