When you're as unknown as Luevano, especially with his boring style, you have to bite the bullet.

An upset win in a semi high profile PR vs. Mexico fight is the fast track to stardom. Luevano knows if he wins it'll probably be going to the cards and he might get robbed, but he has to say '**** it, I'ma knock his ass out'. He must not be sure of himself.

If the money is right he will fight. Almost all negotiations starts that way to get more incentive out of it. He won't be the first or last champion to travel to the challengers country. I'm still hoping for Loperz/Caballero though

It could take place in Florida, it has been becoming a boxing venue or Atlantic City

I don't understand why Juan Ma even wants this fight. Sure, Luevano can't crack, but I could see him outpointing Juan Ma to a points victory. And how is this fight gonna raise Juan Ma's stock even in victory other than some lame ass title? It won't.

Sometimes fighters have a following that no matter what if they keep winning no matter the opposition they keep on getting support. I still don't understand how he has become a PPV attraction and has headlined a couple of them against non-script opposition. I think promoters tend to look at steady money and try to find that Virgil Hill factor in some fighters. John Duddy was getting real close of being one of those. But the King of that right now is between Khan and JCC jr

I don't think Luevano, a slick boxer with limited KO power, can get a fair shake in Puerto Rico. I believe the champion should get the benefit of the hometown advantage or at the least have a neutral territory.

Ehh, Florida doesn't get too many fights outside of Warrior's Boxing shows in Hollywood.
