I still don't get why PBC fans are crying. PBC has nothing to offer to Stevenson, where do you think he would go?

The era of legacy is gone long time ago and you have to know that by now.
I'm not really mad at him as much as I think he's not really competent. There's been a lot of fighters that he promised big fights and then couldn't deliver. Right now it's a good time because he seems to have the backing of Turki, but when left to his own devices, it's a lot of guys fighting low profile mismatches and much of that comes down to him being terrible at his job.

Look at what fight Boots Ennis is getting first. Why? Because Hearn sent what appears to have been really low offers so they didn't even enter into negotiations. He didn't apply for an exception to try to get a better fight. Sometimes he gets a low profile fighter into a high profile fight that they're not ready for, and then they lose, and their career stagnates.

What did he do to build Bivol's career after he had all the momentum in the world coming from the Canelo win? Nothing.

Edgar Berlanga signs with him, and gets Jason Quigley and Padraig McRory. He's only getting the Canelo fight because Morrell moved up. Otherwise he'd have been fed to Morrell. And what happens to him after he gets clobbered by Canelo?

How did Hearn build Andrade into a star? What happened to his career after the Benavidez loss? Hasn't even gotten a fight, and Hearn hasn't even mentioned his name. The only big shots he's really gotten for guys look to be based on luck, not on promoter skill, and then if they lose, he seems to abandon them. I just don't think he knows what he's doing. Maybe he could do a better job if he hadn't let Canelo bend him over a barrel. Most of those fights you could tell he was way overpaying Canelo and there was no money left for the undercard. Maybe he'll get better as he gets more experience, but he sure looks like a kid playing with Dad's toys.

I understand Shakur's reasoning. Tank and Loma won't face him, Zepeda keeps delaying so why not get paid by Hearn/Saudi for 2 fights? He needs some kind of pathway to the elite/name opponents though and this probably isn't it.

I do think there's the potential for the Cordina fight to be harder than expected, or at least that it's not a good style matchup if you want excitement. Cordina is a bit cagey, can counter, good footwork. He lost his last fight but it was to a guy who came forward all night. So Shakur is going to have to track him down and that's not his strong point. Ideally the opponent should've been somebody who throws a lot of punches and takes risks.

I don't think the era of legacy is completely gone. It would seem to be pretty obvious that Inoue, Usyk and Crawford are chasing legacy (while at the same time getting paid) and that is why they are so highly rated and admired by everyone - for their fearless approach and readiness to fight everyone in their way towards greatness.

This was already expected, Eddie is gonna sign any fighter he can that Turki is interested in, he is willing to lose money on shakur to get his other fighters on the card and make it back through them. He can then take those fighters and put them in smaller venues after and continue to make money from his original investment. It’s literally what al did with Floyd, let him get overpaid so he could shove his fighters on the cards with him.

Stevenson is showing his maturity and able to do business outside of Top Rank on his own. He is even scheduled to fight abroad. Unlike Tank who has left Floyd long time ago and can't seem to navigate his way outside of PBC. He's stuck in that island. He hides behind it or use it as an excuse to avoid fights when in fact he can fight anywhere anytime without having to pay substantial amount for every person's cut in the PBC island. Meaning, he could make more on his own without PBC.

You’re wrong about this—It is NOT a Promoter’s job to make sure the fighter gets the most money—that’s the manager’s job. Shakur has two of them at the moment.

The Promoter’s job is to assume the risk (e.g., financial) of putting the fights while projecting a return on said investment.

Yes, a Promoter offers a fighter a purse but the manager’s there to make sure fighter is fairly compensated.
