I’m no fan of Jake, but he has taken his training seriously and fights at his own level. He’s not going to compete at the top level but he is a late comer to the sport and has put in the work to compete against washed up MMA fighters and had made a lot of money doing it. He is able to draw casual fans to the sport, so that isn’t a bad thing.

Most/all black people from Vine wasted that huge platform, king Bach is really the only one who's still relevant from Vine who's black...
The reality is it's about who puts in the effort and who didn't, it's easy posting 6 second clips but translating that type of content to long form content or completely rebranding to something that's relevant to your previous and new fans is a whole different ball game.crimsonfalcon07 likes this.

Now Logan Paul, the wrestler, is the real deal.
Jake Paul, the boxer, is a case of White privilege.

e.g. rappers starting crappy acting careers or vice versa.
It's part and parcel of the entertainment business and boxing at the end of the day is and always has been the entertainment business, I don't know why you are using a basic concept like this to use the far too oft parroted "White privilege."
If you're going to parrot a meaningless term at least use it when it's poignant instead of randomly otherwise it serves no function and loses any and all meaning.
Just like when you howl racism, Islamophobia and whatever other ism and phobia at the moon.
Truth be told you're just sounding bítch made and simply don't like the fact someone is using their platform for growth which is petty and beyond ridiculous to say the least.Last edited by Boro; 08-19-2024, 01:24 PM.

Now regardless of your ethnicity, Can you tell me just one person of color (someone non White), who has headlined PPVs almost out the gate essentially without having any boxing experience - amateur or pros?
Just one..... because I'm stumped

But as the guy above pointed out KSI is in the exact same spot in fact he started these clown shows being PPV with Logan Paul.
And actually the whole "X series" rubbish spawned due to him on DAZN, so you could even argue his "Black privilege" got him that now couldn't you!?
If you're going to making arguments based on perceived privileges but that wouldn't fit the narrative would it.
And my "Ethnicity" is British, not that it holds any bearing on the point(s) being made.
But of course for you emotionally and socially inept types who're obsessed with race it's THE most important thing.
P.S. I also note how you ignored my point about people doing this continually and irrespective of their race and chosen career.Last edited by Boro; 08-19-2024, 04:28 PM.
