BEST OVERALL
MANNY PACQUIAO: I would have to say Pacquiao. I think his determination, his conditioning, his skill, his power, speed, footwork … he’s one of the fighters I most appreciated. Mayweather-Pacquiao would have been a lot different (if they’d fought) in their primes. Pacquiao would have beat (Mayweather) easy, absolutely.

And that’s all cool. I don’t know where this notion that a fighter is supposed to be utterly flawless to be considered an ATG came from. The whole undefeated thing, which, ironically Floyd perpetuated, is completely overrated. 99.99% of the greats took a loss, or losses. They all gave up rounds. Duran was a greater fighter than Mayweather, yet he took several losses in his prime. Losing rounds, or “almost losing” fights, doesn’t diminish Floyd’s stature. Dude was truly amazing. And, for what it’s worth, I think SRL would’ve taken that “oh.”Comment

I don’t list losses unless fighter overperformed in that fight he lost
at this rate TBud will retire undefeated and he’s nowhere near as goodComment

Kind of a sad state of affairs for the sport, when one of the very best P4P boxers of this era hasn’t fought any truly great fighters to test him. Bud, through no fault of his own, might retire undefeated, and his greatness will always be challenged. SRL had Benitez, Hearns, Hagler and Duran. You just can’t compete with that resume.Comment

Some boxing fans might think Pac did better than DLH did, and vice versa.Last edited by hugh grant; 08-19-2024, 10:49 AM.Comment

According to the judges. But judges are different. THe same judges that scored the DLH and FLoyd fight might have scored Pac beating Floyd. You cant say DLH did better. Thats for Floyd to say and i believe FLoyd said Pac was toughest. Some thought DLH beat Floyd. Some think Pac beat Floyd.

pac beat floyd and landed the much cleaner punches throughout the fight, floyd beat oscar. people who think oscar did better dont actually know how to score boxing or they score it based on things that dont count/arent real. oscar flailed and threw more punches, looked like he was doing more, etc etc...but he didnt have the clean punches. in the pac fight floyd didnt have the clean punches and pac did, which is really what boxing is about, well in theory, in reality its about who is popular and political stuff but punch for punch it was pac landing hard impactful punches and floyd missing and grazing. it was slow and boring so floyd wins lol. slow and boring with pac landing hard clean punches and floyd not...Comment
