I kept telling people Crawford only wants to cash out. Even though I’m sure Turki is giving him great offers, there’s no money that will be like Canelo money and that’s what he wants. Make the biggest bag and sail into the sunset. His fight vs Madrimov was supposed to show he can move up and compete with Canelo but he couldn’t even dominate Madrimov so the Canelo fight is dead. Buds best bet is to ask Turki for large purse and fight David Benavidez. If he wins he will no doubt get the Canelo fight. If he loses, at least he got the big bag he was looking for and can use the same excuse, he was too small.

He literally says this in almost every interview. He's looking for the biggest payday. He NEVER says anything about making the best fights, he specifically says the biggest payday. And people will still get on here and talk about him being undisputed at 154. When he wanted to fight Tszyu/Fundora, it was for the same purpose as fighting Madrimov which was moving up in weight hoping to land a Canelo fight. He's really pushing the Canelo fight because the Madrimov fight was harder than anticipated and he can be beaten by the right fighter. I feel that's why he won't fight Boots. Not because Boots hasn't done enough, but because he knows Boots talent can match his and Boots has youth on his side.

I'd like to see Bud get that mega payday he's chasing after. After a long successful career and one of the good guys in and out of the ring, I feel he deserves it.
