  • Comments Thread For: Will Devin Haney's return lead to 'Boots' Ennis?

Has Devin Haney been damaged by those three knockdowns he suffered in the infamous no-contest against the performance-enhanced Ryan Garcia, or is he the same, unaffected version of the former undisputed lightweight and unbeaten 140lbs champion?

With that chin ? He'd better hope not.

That would retire him again for good... He can't fight guys his own size with that chin and those defensive flaws.

On reflection though, props to him if he does take on Ennis as a return fight.

If he ducks Ennis after a comeback fight he is a joker

God please. Boots ain't done jack but he would knock Haney out inside a few rounds. Too strong and Haney has no power and no chin.

Haney will not fight Boots. No way.

Haney has no chin and no power in his punches and he is going to fight Boots at 147 who has both? Only if he wants to be retired on a stretcher.

Haney doesn’t sell, he needs a great selling partner and Boots unfortunately it’s not it! Haney is making a big mistake coming to fight at welterweight. Garcia took that spark from him, with or without PEDs Garcia was too strong for him. Or did Garcia’s PEDs affected Haney to fight and perform the way he did?

I think it’s the fight to make. Unless Haney is staying at 140 in which I’d like to see him go after Teofimo. I’ve got a feeling he’ll fight Barrios.

I expect him to fight and beat Barrios. Easy fight for him and a belt.

Word on the streets is that it will be Mario Barrios @ 147!
