Pac is a once in a lifetime boxer.

An all-time-great of the highest magnitude.

There will never be a flyweight champion like Pac who can move up 10 division, get 6 titles, bag 4 lineals, emerge as the top of his fab4 era and still have some more to fight guys at WW.

The type of opposition that Pac had to get to where he is... nothing short of ARMSTRONG-LIKE.

even if you argue morales won, still a close fight for a punching bag against an ATG..
Morales didn't lose to Diaz. THe scorecards on that fight are ridiculous. Morales got a knockdown and was only award a 10-9 round. While Diaz got a 10-8 in around he didn't score a knockdown. And Mayweather was first to damage Hatton. IMO after a fighter loses like that hes clearly not the same fighter as he was before that.

But not taking credit from Pacquiao. He is a great fighter

Pacquiao was a great featherweight weight as well, but like most fighters when they move up they can't keep up that constant style. Pacquiao can.

Look what happened when Marquez moved up.

I think this is partly due to the fact that Pacquiao has legitimately only put on 2-3 lbs since 130. How he is knocking guys out is a mystery to me..but you know the saying..speed kills. (something Duran did too)

When he moved up to 135 against Diaz I thought his power had faded. He had to hit Diaz a hell of a lot to put him down. Then against Oscar he put on a bit of muscle and showed he still had some pop. By the time he fights Hatton I guess he's comfortable at the weight and blasts Hatton out.

He's the only guy at 148 lbs that can run around for 12 rounds throwing punches non stop with blazing speed.
hold on... pac has only had 1 fight at WW against a jr MW...

            Based on what?

            Againest DLH? lol.

What happens when heres in there with a True WW? You don't know that.

I do agree that at 140 he's a beast, but at 147 is a different story.

yeah, but it was against a jr MW at WW... you can't really make a clear case that he's fighting like a FW at WW.

The problem with this thread is that Pacquaio has not actually fought a "welterweight". The haters on this site are fond of saying that Mayweather refuses to fight a "real welterweight" when he fought and beat the best two in the division. The truth is Pac has not fought a welterweight yet. De La Hoya wasn't a welterweight. Neither was Hatton and neither is Cotto since he is fighting at 145. So, when Pac fights a "rea welterweight", you can say things like this, but not until.

how does Oscar being drained have anything to do with his handspeed. It's not like drained Oscar was especially slow either.
