"South Carolina’s Rice blew Vianello away with an emphatic seventh round TKO victory after the Italian sustained a cut above his right eye."

I don't rate Vianello that high (I thought he lost in his draw against Ibeh) but I don't recall Rice "blowing away" Vianello. It was a pedestrian paced fight, Guido may have been winning if I recall correctly, when the cut caused the stoppage.

Makhmudov looked slothful (sloooooow) in his blowout loss to Kayabel.
He may be strong but if Kayabel can dispose of him almost effortlessly, I don't see much future for this guy.
That's not a knock on Kayabel, either. Any of the top-tier heavyweights should be able to do the same thing.

Makhmudov was much ballyhooed by some on here as he smashed guys like Sour, Teper and Wach (in Wach's recent less than durable state).

He's slow and he seemed uncomfortable with the the limited resistance a very shopworn Takam presented him in their fight. I also think his nervous twitch (where he snaps his back side to side) seems odd. When he got in against Kabayel, he really didn't like Agit's body attack. He folded.

I'm not sure Guido has the power or aggression to make Makhmudov fold like Agit did to him. I think the big Russian wins but can't see him beating the dudes that will really throw back with mean intentions.

I agree. Rice blew him away? Did this dude watch the fight?

Vianello is a mediocre fighter, which says a lot about Efe Ajagba.

If Makhmudov catches him soon, it'll be over within three or less. But if he doesn't, I would not exclude something like a draw in a boring sloppy fight.

This is how I see it as well. Guido's performance against Ajagba tells us more about the Nigerian than it does about the Italian. Makhmudov has power and while Vianello is tough, he has been hurt in fights. If it goes past 4, and Guido gains some confidence, who knows how Makhmudov responds...

Arslanbek rips Vianello’s head off. It’s a great style matchup for Arslanbek.
