Turki wants to make fights fans want to see to Advertise Riyadh Season. He wants people to go to Saudi and Spend their money there. That's why they took Ronaldo there.

That is not sitting well with me at all. This and having to sit through the Saudi national anthem even though there are no Saudi boxers fighting. This is all just so crazy.
I am starting to feel the same way. He has done some great things for boxing but on the other hand he is very quickly turning into a dictator. Obviously that approach will not sit well with everyone. It almost seems like he is throwing a bit of a tantrum. Hell it is not even his own money. He is a government employee. He is just a representative for someone far more powerful behind the scenes.

As long as he makes fights we want to see it's all it matter, unless you want mismatches like Canelo vs Berlanga on PPV. He can't be a dictator if he is paying them what they want and are happy with the pay. Even if they lose he brings them back. Wilder, Big China man, Miller all came back to his card after loses.

Not sure if Canelo really said he felt dissed by Turkey ,but def said it was the wrong approach and hes kinda right, why not wait til the ginger beats edgar and then sit down to negotiate, Turki does starting to sound like fcking General Aladeen lol ,just because hes now the biggest boxing broker or at least the one with the most available funding doesnt mean he call all the shots. Rich boy feelings got hurt by Canelo ,Tank and now Tim.

Canelo really doesn’t need to do this. He can retire tomorrow and won’t be missed. Boxing fans will move on to the next superstar like always. In general, his fights are very boring anyhow because he refuses to fight anyone good.

lol at these boxing fans now mad at dude because he’s trying to force the hand of fighters to actually fight potentially competitive fights. Canelo and his fans can eat a diq while we are at it. The rest of us are tired of the glorified sparring sessions. Ffs the supposed face of boxing is fighting Berlanga..

Except he wasn't. Him and his brother were offering sparring sessions for cash just a few months ago.

Canelo doesn’t need Saudi and is a unique case.

Tim on other hand is an interesting case. Tim and team, No Limits, are very Australia-centric and want fights in Aus which probably doesn’t fit the Saudi plan. Maybe Tim doesn’t want to be matched in round-robin style format and prefers setting fights up like he and Ortiz (almost) did on social media. I think in the long run Tim’s legacy and respect will be enhanced because this Saudi thing could go sour at any moment. It’s too politically charged and something completely unrelated to boxing could see it disappear. Downside is that Tim will probably earn less and may have limited opponents to choose from as long as Saudibox is a factor. Would be a tragedy to see him frozen out of the big fights.

I am all for great match ups and I am grateful for all he has done. I have been watching more boxing this year than in the last 2 to 3 years ( and I have been a boxing fan for 55 years). I am not complaining. Just noticing that Turki is becoming a bit of a diva.
