3 years ago, Morrell had 5 fights. It was not feasible 3 years ago, and is barely now. Benavidez is looking up not down in his career. Morrell is clout chasing.

Benavidez is a PPV fighter. Morrell is a nobody. You can't duck someone irrelevant who is not even at the front of the line. At the moment that fight has no value for Benavidez, legacy wise or financially. If Benavidez smashes him he gets no credit after Morrells awful performance.

Benavidez may have fought on ppv shows but he isn't a ppv fighter in the true sense of the phrase imo; he would struggle to sell much on his own merit ie not relying on a "name" opponent.
