It is only 9-8 if the other fighter substantially wins the rest of the round. it's not merely winning. he has to completely take over. a KD in 95% of cases is always a 10-8 round. Period.

Watched it from the sixth round on. Bohachuk had the cleaner work from rounds 6-9. Ortiz was a bit sloppy. He came back when he started to box behind the jab. The 2 knockdowns should have secured Bohachuk the win or at least a draw.

man don't start this switching the scoring criteria bs. Unless Ortiz was beating the life out of Bohachuk, those were 10-8 rounds.

That isn't how it works. You get a point for the knockdown and another for winning the round. Usually the guy scoring the knockdown is winning the round, sometimes, like in this case, he didn't.

"If Fighter A is winning the round and scores a knockdown and continues to win the round after the knockdown, then Fighter A is awarded the round 10-8.
