Miller is just another crazy NYC Dominican! I grew up with them, consider them, among others, my people... He is naturally brash, but that is very much how New York works in the real areas. Anybody who wants to understand Miller should take a trip into Washington Heights. Looks a lot like the Bronx, endless streets of tenaments. You feel like you will never get out of there.Comment

You make the same term singular (Boy) and it becomes a bad word for Blacks, yet the minute it becomes plural it takes on an entirely different meaning. And the accents acquired across the pond? they all have roots in England. hard to imagine a hard New York Accent coming from Europe...Comment

Slang and how we use language informally is a really interesting thing. "Old Man/Lady" has roots in the biker culture, among others. During the 20's on up through to even the fifties, the term "Boys" was used for any group of menfolk, this association goes at least as far back as the wild west, where many gunfighters would prefix their name with the term "Kid." "Billy The kid" was actually a departure from this form, because you wouldn't call him "Kid Billy."

I personally, don’t believe he has fighting in him no more.
It’s not up to me or for you but himself. However, he must want to furnish the will in order to do so to improve his overall quality of life. Right now he is mental head case.Last edited by champion4ever; 08-11-2024, 01:03 AM.Comment

Well, it’s entirely left up to him whether or not he can return back to his former glory as a fighter. He has to want it for himself.

I just think there is to much money for the sharks to let him walk away
Not sure if you get what I’m trying to sayComment

All the vultures came out to swoop him up. He was a huge draw and can generate a lot of money.
However, by that time his heart and mind was no longer in it or in a right place. He virtually quit.
He was just merely showing up for pay checks. It no longer mattered if he won or lost.
I fear the same would happen to Ryan once he returns.Comment
