When was the last time you saw two big huge upsets on one card ( could have been four but corrupt judges and all )
I have no problem with the matchmaking so far

Ngl I would be sorely tempted to throw away all my convictions !

This Canelo’s event will have better undercard than the one with Crawford! Paula is a jealous freak against Canelo! How long did it take to make Floyd vs Manny?

Word on the street, via Kevin Iole, is that Turki lost $10M on the August 3rd event. Can he afford that? Probably? How long is he willing to take those kind of losses? Time will tell!

*A lengthy, tiresome, excessive mariachi band performance for Canelo’s ring entrance.

*An arena full of Canelo fanboys/suckers who gladly allow themselves to be milked just to be under the same room as their hero.

*Ever-decreasing PPV buys for his overpriced fights.

And these idiots are complaining about Turki giving them TOO MANY good fights and A-list performers in a single night?????

Good grief. Some of the simple-minded fans who post on this site - and simple-minded boxing analysts - are beyond hope.
I am with Roj on this one and I am not complaining about anything. Finally, finally we are getting the fights we wanted for years. Also, Turki has already made up his mind about Canelo. He hates him with passion and will not work with him. He has made him what he considers decent offers and Canelo is not playing ball. Turki has moved on.

Very few boxers are as popular as Tank and Inoue and can afford to stand their ground. The others are desperate to feed their families and will do anything for a large payday.

                Easy solution.

No more 10-hour cards; no more pre-main event concerts; less downtime with pundits yabbering endlessly; and fewer yet still meaningful fights. Mayweather–Alvarez had a decent 4-fight undercard, with the highlight being Garcia–Matthysse for the hardcore fans. Mayweather–Marquez was good too. Sweet spot is about 4 fights, not 1000 like the HW card in December (as groundbreaking as it was, for a one-off).

Dunno about Canelo/Tank but I think Inoue ala Ohashi is more than willing to work with Saudi as long as the timing of the offer and opponent makes sense (as in not some unrealistic ******ity like Inoue-Tank). In fact if scheduled correctly the December Inoue fight could definitely come on a Saudi card.

The main reason the Inoue-MJ mandatory was denied is not because Inoue was "scared" of MJ (contrary to what haters want to believe) but it is because the idiots of WBA sent the orders well after the Doheny match was already deep in negotiations and all but signed, and Matchroom was sitting back underestimating Ohashi thinking that he'd be willing to scrap all the planning to come wagging his tail to UK if a mandatory gets "ordered" and Saudi inevitably wins the purse bid.

May 6th Inoue-Nery fight occurs, Goodman comes to Tokyo Dome and has his bravado speech while MJ is nowhere to be seen or heard since end of last year. However early rumors start dropping that Goodman actually wants a fight in July in Australia and isn't really wanting it for September in Japan, and at the same time the Doheny as replacement rumor immediately starts swirling stronger and stronger. Still crickets from MJ/Hearns the whole time this is ongoing.
June 13th WBA orders mandatory for Inoue-MJ for deadline of end of September. Immediately Hearns start talking about how it is a great timing to join the Wembley Joshua card in UK for 9/21 despite being the challenger side, while Ohashi's immediate response was "why are they telling us this now (so late)?" Hearns starts b!tching about how MJ is so much better than Doheny yada yada...where was that energy between January and June 12th?
July 16th Official announcement of Inoue-Doheny made for 9/3 at Ariake Arena. It also came with a very stacked (for Japanese boxing fans who are the obvious targeted ticket buyers) undercard of:
                  • Yoshiki Takei vs Daigo Higa - WBO Bantamweight, a world title fight between the new Japanese champion against #1 ranked former flyweight Japanese champion
                  • Ismael Barroso vs Andy Hiraoka - interim WBA Super Lightweight, I am personally not a believer of Regular and interim "belt" but it is still a world title fight by definition involving a Japanese boxer
                  • Jin Sasaki vs Qamil Balla - WBO Asia Pacific & OPBF Welterweight, a regional title defense by the #9 Ring rated welterweight boxer on the most recent rankings.
                  • Toshiki Shimomachi vs Ryuya Tsugawa - JBC Super Bantamweight, Japan title champion vs #3 Japanese ranking boxer
So with the main undisputed title fight by Inoue, that is three world title fights plus the Asia regional champion/world contender, with the "worst" match being for the domestic title all involving Japanese boxers. Obviously not internationally set up like Inoue-Nery fight, but certainly very well targetting the Japanese local boxing fans who actually buys the tickets. By the way my Japanese boxing fan friend is going bananas for the Takei-Higa fight personally, and regardless of the result I'm excited to see how Hiraoka does against in his first world level challenge.

If the haters actually believe Inoue was so scared of MJ that Ohashi refused the order and instead rushed to set up a 15000 capacity boxing card with theater live viewing in 30 prefectures in a month span then Ohashi is the most efficient boxing promoter in the world, and if they think that Ohashi is just going to suddenly scrap all ongoing negotiations and planning done with Doheny and leave a negative relationship with Top Rank and the undercard opponents and just drop it all because Inoue is going to be on Wembley (because the undercard, while stacked for an undercard, isn't enough for a 15000 capacity Ariake Arena with Takei-Higa being the main match), they underestimated the importance of respect among business partners.

Keep in mind that unlike some annual fighting American boxers Inoue doesn't wait 8 month after his last fight to finally start scheduling his next one. If MJ and Matchroom/Saudi is serious about setting up a fight, they should start a legit negotiation the day after the Doheny fight for December (eff Goodman). At the least, MJ should show face at Ariake if he seriously wants the smoke.

And you either tell Crawford to fight Boots or that’s it for him too.

Since money is no object for the Saudis, just make the fights free since most fight fans are streaming live for free anyway, and make sure the main events starts no later than 11PM EST. You don’t need Eminem and those long breaks. Outdoor venue in the boiling hot sun is nuts. Turkie, people here are not used to living in the desert

Make fights fans want. Stop the Crawford money grab. If Turkie is so desperate to put Crawford in the event, Boots or bust. Inoue v Junto, Tank v Teo. Bakole v Zhang, Canelo v Benavidez or just save your money. More is not better. 9 hours is F-in crazy

Where’s the feud ? , you have one guy that just pays so much money the promoters and fighters whore them self out to him and you’ve got a guy that is just going about his business as he always has done , and who I might add has paid his dues and taken punches in the pro ranks since he were 15 years old .
