Turki is basically saying that he doesn't think Crawford has a good chance of beating Canelo, so he's not making that fight.

    Not rocket science.

I think he'd love to make Crawford vs Ortiz vs Boots. Also, Canelo vs Benavidez, at whatever weight.

    Morrell's stock dropped a tad.

In other words, everyone agrees Canelo-Crawford would be a bloodbath.

Crawford "the legend" is in like Flynn, as they say. Canelo & Tszyu not so much. If you want the big bucks, you should not defy the big boys from Riyahd. This is a new era. Pretty funny.

Canelo is becoming less and less relevant in the sport. He’s said numerous times that he doesn’t want the Crawford or benavidez fight. For the latter he made a ridiculous financial demand and we all know he was talking to the saudis. Everyone in boxing has become tired of his arrogance and that combined with his mediocre performances against less than mediocre opponent selection, has made him less relevant. Sure he has those weirdo groupies who will defend anything about him, but there are only so many of those idiots. This ppv with Berlanga bombs.

Personally I hope ufc in the sphere burys the Canelo ppv numbers.

It came from his mouth on the radio show yesterday or whenever it was that he feels he's earned the right to pick who he wants to fight now as he knows he's the biggest name in boxing. That means, fights he will win. Do you think with the money he's making these days, that he wants to put himself through a bloodbath where he has to go to war with someone whose on his equal? No way. This dude going to cash out millions all the way into the sunset.

I'm glad he has lost interest in making that match up. Now we can get Crawford vs Fundora for 3 of the 4 154lb belts on the line. Hopefully before the year is up, or in January. I see Crawford hurting Fundora bad to the body. You can see how Madrimov reacted to those shots.

While I would have liked to have seen the Canelo-Crawford fight, this is a good move by Turki. It’s time to stop acting as though Canelo is the center of the boxing universe and let him just sink into irrelevance as the backlash continues to grow over his increasingly meaningless fights. its too bad Conor McGregor couldn’t have stayed healthy and out of his various states of stupor long enough to have appeared on the UFC Sphere card. That would have really buried Canelo-Berlanga in PPV buys - even more than it already will be.

Vergil Ortiz jr is the only lower weight class boxer that will put up a good fight against clenelo. Am i the only one that thinks that ?
