While I would have liked to have seen the Canelo-Crawford fight, this is a good move by Turki. It’s time to stop acting as though Canelo is the center of the boxing universe and let him just sink into irrelevance as the backlash continues to grow over his increasingly meaningless fights. its too bad Conor McGregor couldn’t have stayed healthy and out of his various states of stupor long enough to have appeared on the UFC Sphere card. That would have really buried Canelo-Berlanga in PPV buys - even more than it already will be.

That’s not the case at all. It’s just that Canelo’s refusal
to negotiate in good faith by not fighting anyone who he perceives as a potential threat or risk to him.

For example: Two hundred fifty million dollars to fight David Benavidez man? Can he be serious? If that’s his bottom line. Then who the fuck needs him?

It’s a case of Canelo simply pricing himself out. One can say what they will but the Saudis are very shrewd businessmen unlike other promoters. They just simply refuse to throw good money after bad. Especially in light of the fact when being fleeced by a fighter who doesn’t to fight anybody good.

Imagine how quickly he would have taken that cash if Spence was offered instead of crawford.
