Bowe-Lewis and Trinidad-Mosley are the fights I kept hoping would have been made back in the day.

Looking back on that list of fights that never happened, it becomes apparent that some of them were never made because one fighter and his camp realized they were gonna get beat.

I remember when Stevenson and Kovalev were both with HBO and that fight seemed imminent then next thing I hear is that Adonis was taking his talents to Showtime. I always wanted to see that one....

I still consider mayweather vs pacqujao fight at the height of their powers as boxing’s biggest miss.

I wasn't particularly old but I still remember Rid**** and Rock Newman standing there and Bowe dumping that WBC belt in the trash can.

Rock Newman was incredibly annoying. A few years later, John Ruiz's trainer Norman Stone brought back the memories of Rock Newman...

I wondered whether the writer would go with Wilder v Joshua.

Kind of feels like history will quickly forget how big that fight would have been.

Yep, I remember the trash can incident, too. What a shame that fight never happened. It was frustrating.
And I agree with you about Rock Newman. Bowe was a man of few words, so I can imagine Newman saying to him, "Listen, kid, let me do the talking, I'll make you a lot of money."
And talk he did. I think Eddie Hearn must be channeling some of Newman.
