Floyd needs to fight the best fights while he's in his prime. This guy Alvarez is too green.
Genaro at that time was undefeated at 130, thats why that win was a signature win for floyd, and he was also a fairly credible champion, people thought floyd was being pushed a bit too soon and he was actually an underdog.

After Judah - One fight is not that big of a deal one way or the other

After DLH - One fight is not that big of a deal one way or the other

Sure looks like alot of "one fight"s.

          oh wait,

we need to just give him time right?

If Floyd reached his peak and decided to rematch Bruseles and Corley, that is his right. It would be a shame...but it's his right.

Champion, listen. Floyd isn't hurting the sport. He isn't taking ANYTHING away from anybody. It is HIS career to exploit, waste, trash, do whatever. If he is hurting anything, he is hurting himself...and that is his prerogative to do that. If fans don't like what he is doing, then they can vote with their pocketbooks and remote controls.

I see MANY posters talking about who "deserves a shot" at Floyd. First of all, in life, you don't get what you deserve. That is an infantile perspective. You get what you negotiate.
Secondly, "deserve a shot" at what? Floyd isn't sitting on a belt?!

I find the whole 'gnashing of teeth' pretty funny. Just ignore the dude. How is PBF forcing you to watch? Or listen? Or read? or pay?
"Secondly, "deserve a shot" at what? Floyd isn't sitting on a belt?! "

YOU'RE A ******.****tiest thesis I ever saw out there,Floyd is suposed to be P4P #2,#1 according to himself and his stans,so he has "to defend it",prove it in reality!!!

Floyd has never fought an HOF in his prime who wasn't outweighed by 10 POUNDS.Or else who??Ricky or Zaby??

At least Manny(Barrera,Marquez,Morales all of them in their 20S)and Cotto(Mosley) did,and won...

I can't stand casual PBF stan like you.Everybody is bitchslappin you out there cuz you talk garbage.
            Kill yourself.
            Floyd is a proven coward!

All those fights were fine fights with the exception of JMM which was his last fight which is why I did not care about the JMM fight in a negative way. It is one fight aslong as he is active bigger fights are possible so whatever.

No need to discuss this because this will go in cricles~

Nobody would say anything to Floyd if he didn't go around saying he was the best. Some people are just too naive to realize Floyd believes his own bull**** because the people around him have been feeding that to him since he was still coming up. He looks at people callin him to fight Shane as crazy being that's what he's being told, and his fans follow along.

I was a fan of his when he actually went and fought the Castillos, Coralles', etc. His team wants to preserve Floyd and make as much money as they can with him. Unless you look at Floyd as a circus show, him fighting Alvarez is a complete joke. He's better than that.
Oh, so the big deal is because he says he is the best? Guess what? That doesn't bother me. Perhaps i'm not threatened by trash-talkers. You're saying 'LOL @ this guy' knowing that what I said was 100% true.

Evander Holyfield is out there saying that he feels he is the best heavyweight. I have heard it. Roy, Shane, etc all say they are the best. I filter trash talk appropriately.

If you don't think tha Floyd is in it PURELY for the money at this point, then you haven't really been paying attention. "Hit list" or not. Floyd is in it for the money. Your Uncle Al is telling you that.

Now, you have decisions to make. Continue to follow his career and get yourself upset...or ignore Floyd and enjoy the eleventeen bajillion other fighters out there.

                    • Ok, it has to be a joke! I'm a mayweather fan, but how can you possibly defend the fact that this fight is pointless. If you want to fight someone undefeated, at least fight Berto, but not this guy, nobody knows him and he's even younger and has less experience than Berto.

I would like to see a fight with the winner of Pacquiao-Cotto, he could even take Vyacheslav Senchenko the undefeated WBA world champion as a tune-up, it would be less ****** than this fight...
