Crawford is FOS. Madrimov was his toughest opponent full stop, period. He’s hustling to pick up a check. Let’s hope Turkie stops being a fan and start putting the Saudi money into meaningful fights. Had Madrimov been a little more active, he would have won without question. Same for Big Baby. Bakole gave Anderson a real whooping. Anderson is a TR hype job. He can beat most all second tier HW, but that’s his limit. He also better stay grounded before he becomes another prison statistic.

Madrimov was damn good, this win will age well. Crawford couldn’t figure him out, he was sharp as hell.

You know when a fighter denies a fighter is his toughest opponent when everyone else sees that fighter as his toughest opponent, then that was his toughest opponent.

Give him a few years after retirement and he might admit it.

Idc if Madrimov never KD’ed Crawford or had him badly hurt like Kav, Gamboa or Benavidez. Madrimov was his toughest, smartest, and most durable opponent. This was also the closest fight i’ve seen Crawford in. Those guys he mentioned, those weren’t close fights.

If you ever read those "Best I've Faced" interviews of retired boxers, they often give surprising answers to the questions. Often times, they claim the best fighter they faced is a guy they beat rather than a guy who best them or gave them their most competitive fight. I think part of it is pride...most likely the same situation here.

Crawford is in denial. He was happy to get a home decision against this guy. Clearly his toughest opponent so far.

Bud said he wants to fight Canelo to fill his bank account.

"Terence Crawford says Canelo Alvarez at 168 pounds ‘makes the most sense"
Terence Crawford will fight Israil Madrimov in Los Angeles on Aug. 3, but that hasn’t stopped him being asked questions about his future

After beating the HOF Madrimov, Canelo will be easy work

on one hand you say it was Buds toughest fight to date, but then you also infer that it was meaningless?? So which is it? Because it cant be both

He may have had to dig deeper in those other bouts, but last night was the hardest by far

Keep in mind he was just in said fight answering these questions lol

Crawford is a liar to himself. He isn't nearly as impressive when he has to face a BOXER with GOOD FOOTWORK, quick hands, WHO FEINTS Effectively, can take away HIS ability to counter, can counter HIM and maintain a responsible defense. Beating the ghost of a clearly damaged Errol Spence, a faded Porter and an ancient shot Kellbrook looks good on paper but when faced with an opponent who Stylistically does not allow you to counter much and has the FOOTWORK to keep you off balance is a whole other dynamic. Madrimov has all of 12 bouts to his credit and he was close to obtaining a draw against a man who had more than twice the amount of fights. In fact had Madrimov won The 11th round it would have indeed been a draw. Crawford was frustrated because he couldn't have his usual way with a man who had a solid IQ and who could match him in the countering department. His tentative essay showed and his frustration. It was an interesting chess match between two good fighters but Crawford is lying and letting pride get in the way when he says he fought tougher opponents. For the 1st time he dropped his veil of professionalism by making that statement.
