Madrimov landed some good eye catching punches but just not enough of them to justify giving him the fight. Was a very competitive fight tho and Id say it was up there as Buds toughest fight because there were rounds were madrimov did look like he was giving Crawford issues with his movement. The scores were fine imo and the right guy won but I ain't trying to see Crawford up at 168 against canelo.. I think style wise he won't be as tricky as Madrimov but the size and the difference in strength will be alot for crawford to manage and he will definitely won't have the pop to keep canelo from coming forward and working. Bud should stay at 154 try and get the belts there and I think call it a career. But money talks so if Turki is backing a cash filled brinks truck up at both guys houses then I could see it happening.

He’s just not being honest. Crawford is still great and I’m not going to bemoan the decision but I saw him lose and get outboxed over 12. He fought cautious and got outsmarted in my opinion. He’s not going to be the best guys at 160 or above at this stage.Last edited by TheOneAboveAll; 08-04-2024, 11:21 AM.TonyRespectful likes this.

Crawford is downplaying Madrimov because this was close and seems to have put the kibosh on Crawford's potential Canelo payday. Crawford clearly won but I thought he needed to win those last 2 rounds to do it. Looked like a draw after 10.Rayzah

It's why the canelo fight is a bad idea for him because alot of people say they can go up and beat canelo or whatever but when they get in there and feel the weight of the punches they realise it's different. I don't see it being any different from the Charlo fight except bud might take more risks and probs end up getting stopped
They have weight classes for a reason. Bud is fine where he's at
